    I have more than 4.8 mils left with the 100 yard zero. That 4.8 mils that the dialing turret will turn gives me the 600ish yards I think I had about 3 mils left with the original flat scope mounts.

    I used a 20 MOA rail for mine on my 17.75" 6ARC and can get 600 yards of travel with a 100 yard zero. There's not a lot of rifles slower than a cut 6ARC. LOL.

    For the price of a quality new sight, you could probably add another hundred or two and get a very nice used full setup that is much more up to date than what you have. I would start looking hard on the Archerytalk classifieds at what is available.

    I went with a tiny Pic rail and then a carbon Sunwayfoto tripod that does ARCA or Pic with the ball head. No way would I want a sloppy, slow clamp. The lever for the area/pic interface is crazy quick and easy. The Sunwayfoto is pretty light also at 3# and allows standing shots if needed.

    I would NOT, under any circumstances, want to check a bare hunting pack. Even at the gate. WAAAAAY too many loose straps that WILL end up getting cut when they get stuck in the baggage carousel.
