Bang, Flop dead! They are awesome as are the 139 gr .264 ones. I just got back from TX and both the .308 and the .260 dropped turkeys, axis, WT, and pigs with authority.
I tried 4-factory (165-180gr) offerings and 2-powders HL's (H4831, H1000), so they need to look at it. I do not want a rifle that only shoots 1-load. Hell, I would have been happy if it at least was consistent.
Mine is packed and ready to ship back so I hope my results are the same. They were extremely helpful on the phone but none the less a PIA for a $1500 rifle that won't group.
I'm in the 300WSM camp. Less recoil, more versatile, I am a fan of SA cartridges, and ammo online is easy. It is a very easy to reload cartridge as well. I went the easy way of have a Kimber Montana but the Horizon firearms on Gunbroker are tempting!
They were very friendly on the phone and asked me all the normal stuff, torque, what ammo, etc. so we will see when they respond and after I get the rifle back. It is the worst shooting rifle I have ever owned, but very nice fit and feel so hopefully they can find something wrong and correct it.
Pretty obvious ha? I contacted them and am waiting on a RMA sticker. It wasn't even the wide groups but no consistency at all. My shotgun shoots tighter groups, too bad or it is a nice rifle.
For the Seekins fans other then price and weight any first hand opinions on the Havak PH2? I kind of like the longer barrel and the Remington footprint.
I was surprised as well but both had major head spacing problems and their response was oh well. They had to take them to a local GS to correct the problem.
I bought a won't mention in 7MM PRC and it is a lemon so I want to try again what would you buy if you had $3K, rifle only. Not really up to doing a custom at the moment due to time.
