How many people? How much gear? How long for layover in KTN?
Simplest solution is to do wheel plane direct from/to the airport and land in klawock and have DJ leave the rig there for you. Probably the least expensive option. Island Air express has caravan, goes to Klawock daily. Pay the...
It's not really a concern of failure, at least from my point of view. It's more that I have other frames, bags, lids, packs, projects, etc that all use 1". I accordingly already have a sizeable collection of 1" hardware, webbing and repair kits for that reason. It's not an insurmountable...
The goshawk 6300 bag in ultra looks like what I've been trying to achieve for years!
Curious on when "custom" ordering will be back up as well? Will symmetrical "long" pockets be an option? (Lanner 5400 side pocket layout)
And is replacing all the 3/4" webbing/tab loops with 1" an option?
Good luck.. That could backfire. My 5yo LOVES hot sauce. I caught him around 1am the other morning with the fridge open putting sriracha in a spoon... He obviously got in (minor) trouble for leaving the fridge open while serving himself- but honestly, who among us hasn't had a late night hot...
Yes, that response is directly from a ADFG official, verbatim.
I've had pretty prompt responses from them. My rec would be to shoot them an email and verify for yourself, then just keep the email with you with your license if you get questions.
I'd check out the 3 person offerings from marmot. I'm pretty sure they have 2 or 3 that fit your criteria. Catalyst, Fortress, and maybe the limelight?
I personally haven't had great luck with bear fences. Specifically the UDAP fence. Seems like with a curious bear it worked, but with a bear that knows what it wants on the other side it's not much good. I have distinct memories of turning on the fence around a meatpile one morning, hiking up...
With the requirements you posted:
I'd be looking to find a good deal on a Black Diamond HiLight or Mtn Hardwear Ghost- Id go 3 man with a ghost.
With an ebay deal or consignment shop or classifieds that price range should be attainable. Both are decent 2 man fair weather tents.
I personally...
In Alaska- the Garmin is legal if you are hunting with a general season/open harvest.
It is NOT legal if you are hunting a weapons restricted/archery only tag.
Petzl Reactik + -Received one as a gift last year. Best headlamp I've ever used for recreation. Only thing I don't like is the white band. Mine is bloodstained forever.
Also like the original petzl tikka- have a couple of those.
I also have a petzl ultra vario for work that is a beast.
I'd second beendare.
Try the regular axis w/ brass HITs to get your weight up.
I switched from regular axis to fmjs to BE rampages and now back full circle to regular 5mm axis and wondering why I ever switched to begin with.
I tried playing around with the timing when I was running a limbdriver. It was kind of a pain to set up to hold longer and still avoid contact, and once I managed that- nothing groundbreaking happened. I personally couldn't tell a difference in tuning or my shooting.
Somebody who is a better...
I can second either of these setups. I've run the Rampage 250's and the Axis 260s. Both with 50gr brass inserts, 100gr/125gr heads, fobs, xnocks.
For what it's worth I prefer the Axis.
I'm not familiar with Mathews.. That said, in my experience:
Twisting (shortening) your cables will increase your weight, and draw length
Twisting (shortening) your string will actually decrease your weight while shortening your draw
I would twist/untwist everything accordingly until you're...
That's what I run most of the time.
Cargo Panel with 3 large belt pouches on the outside. Mystery Ranch Lid. Water Bottle pockets and small belt pouches on the belt. I use a sea to summit big river dry bag or the kifaru camp bag.
Getting the water bottle pouch and small belt pouch on the belt...
JP8 has some nasty stuff added to it. I would avoid burning that if you can.
I can't imagine the anti-corrosives or anti-icers are going to do good things for you or your stove.
