I use a blaze orange Kifaru grab it on the outside of my pack. Serves multiple purposes, great for stuffing a jacket makes it easy to take out or put away without having to stuff into your main pocket or move anything in your pack. I also put the antlers on outside of pack and hold tight against...
Thanks for the responses guys meant to come back and update anyway. Went out to the range a couple weeks ago and had the same issue heavy bolt lift, flattened primer, and heavy ejector mark and this was in 50-60 degree weather so similar weather to what the load was developed in.
My buddy had...
Not sure if this should be posted here or reloading or firearms section, but here goes. Has anyone ever seen pressure signs when hunting in cold weather? The reason I ask is on my 4th season deer hunt, I had heavy bolt lift and ejector marks with all 3 of my shots I fired. I was shooting my own...
I started bringing one with me. Never needed to use it but the way I look at it is my rifle is about the only thing on my hunt if something went wrong with I can’t just drive into town and buy a replacement to keep from having a hunt ruined. However if I were leaving my truck at a trailhead for...
I was wondering the same thing on my elk hunt in Colorado this year, seen 2 very nice bucks with nearly identical antler configurations and wondered if they were related both deer were not really wide maybe just inside the ears but were both really tall 4 points with forks about the same depth...
Well for starters I wouldn’t post on an open public forum about asking for ways cheat fmla/disability. However there are a lot of people that do it. Hell my Old parts guy got months off for being an alcoholic and sitting at home to
Drink more.
If this is really what you want to do you need to...
I don’t consider 3-4 shot groups as a long string either, that’s what I mean if I shoot 3-4 shots with my Kimber or X bolt my groups will open up dramatically sometimes 2” at 100 yards especially with the kimber. these are both thin sporter barrels so that is somewhat expected
In comparison I...
The biggest benefit I see and prefer from a carbon barrel is being able to shoot over and over without the need to let the barrel cool down like you usually have to with thinner metal sporter barrels.
My kimber and browning x bolt start to open up after 3-4 shots. My rifle with a carbon barrel...
Have you considered reloading? I know you didn’t mention that route I Only bring it up is I know how much I like my 28 Nosler and couldn’t imagine keeping it if I didn’t reload now that ammo is $120 on the shelf
Nice buck congrats!
The thought of hunting A zone has always crossed my mind and sounded intriguing getting to hunt sooner but then I remember it’s 115 outside and I decide I can wait a couple more weeks haha.
