    Idk about 22 but 23 is temp stable and much easier to find than 26. Gives awesome speed. I’ve heard 23 is more stable than 26 but I’ve yet to see that with my own eyes so take that with a grain of salt.

    IMO your 7 mag is a more versatile hunting caliber than the 6.5 PRC and the 243 especially twisted right can smoke deer sized game to 500 no problem. It sounds like you need a 6.5x47, 6.5/6creed, 6br or even a fast twist 223. Those will teach you more about shooting to 1k than anything I can...

    I wouldn’t overlook a tikka t3, very accurate and prefits are available. I definitely would consider a 6 or 6.5 creed if your just starting out. They have the best factory ammo options of any calibers I can think of.

    1:9 should be plenty for the 215's, I've shot them out of a 1:10 with no issues. I love my proof barrels, never owned a carbon 6.

    Don't teach a pointing dog to sit. Whoa means stand/stay still. Sitting causes problems latter. Above was right you really need a mentor. I feed and have all my dogs sleep in the crate as soon as they are weaned, so all night and a couple hours a day but they need exercise and the bathroom.

    Building something like this for a match/hunting rifle for my wife. Bighorn origin, xlr carbon chassis, proof carbon 20’ 6.5 prc for hunting, 26’ x caliber 6 br for matches targets. Probably tt diamond or two stage of some type, not decided yet.
