Feedback on the Chevy 2.8 CO Diesel?

Low-mid 20 highway, 16 towing. Tacoma's were close to the same price or cheaper when I bought mine. Got mine new for $37k in '17. Lots of places were selling them for $40k at the time. It has 105k and was worth about 17-19k last time I checked. Tacoma's with the same features mileage and...

Feedback on the Chevy 2.8 CO Diesel?

Mine is a '17. 105k. Big issue is finding dealerships that know how to work on them. Seems they get misdiagnosed. Gas mileage still greatly. Have dealt with issues of wire harness that got rubbed on chasis-dealership wanted to replace torque converter when it just needed respliced. Odd...

    Silencerco Scythe TI review

I got one from Gunzonedeals.com for less than $800 a week ago. Not sure if they are still that cheap. Never purchased from them, but they sound legit according to guys on here.

    OH / IL public land

Moved from MT to back to my homestate of Ohio for a time. When I moved back, I tried hard to find a good spot in OH. If I remember correctly, there are three main forests down in Southern Ohio. I also hunted the area in Eastern/Central Ohio. My experience is that guys use motorized vehicles...

    Son’s first shotgun

I still have my first 870, and out of all the many high dollar guns I have, its the one that means the most to me. Despite its relatively inexpensive price, they shoot great, and are hard to break (at least my vintage is). There are a lot of aftermarket parts/stocks/rails etc. After shooting...

A lot of love for Tikka around here.

To the OP. If the windage turret it too big, sometimes this can cause interference with ejecting a round. Is this the problem? Simply trying to provide solutions, so you don't feel like were banging on you issue too hard without advice.

A lot of love for Tikka around here.

Pull the bolt back all the way, push the bolt forward all the way--> Bullet gets chambered. If you get nervous and get a hitch in this process, yes, you can have an issue with a jam. Controlled round feeds take care of this issue and are considered more of a dangerous game action for this...

Christiansen Arms VS Tikka VS Savage

What could be better about the trigger? Factory goes down to 2 lbs. With a $15 aftermarket spring you can have it less than that. Of all my rifles the tikka is not beat by any of the others in regards to the trigger. I wonder what triggers Im missing out on? Lots of aftermarket availability...

    RL 26

Curious if people are finding RL 26, or when the last time they found it was? I've been able to stock up on the elusive hodgdon extreme powders(except Retumbo) over the last few years. No RL 26! Any one find any? Online retailers, mom and pops? Curious if it's even being produced.

Which sleeping bag? Have it narrowed down to choices

I too hard my heart set on a western mountaineering bag. While I believe they are made in the US, I couldn't pony up the cost. I ended up going with a Stone Glacier Chinook, 0 degree bag. Not made in the US, but at the time I purchased it (Oct 21) it was one of the more affordable options. It is...

    Rail for Tikka?

I was doing comparisons a couple years ago. I recall looking at mountain tactile and not being as impressed in the finishing/fit compared to the 419. Unfortunately I think 419 is a 20moa rail. Not sure if they make a 0moa rail at this point. You'd have to look on their site.

    Rail for Tikka?

Area 419 is about as profiled to the tikka action and as sleek as you can get. The machining is top notch. When I built my tikka up, I looked at a lot of options, and the 419 was the nicest at the time.

Used one for bugholes for instillation. Worked great. Will need an outside action wrench for initial tikka barrel removal.
