Quickload with standard 3.290 COAL and 24" barrel, that 69gr, is a starting load.
2989fps, 48509 psi. 54-58gr looks like it would be dangerously low, 2272fps and 23244psi to 2458fps and 28204 psi.
Hornady load data for the 150gr CX seems to support that finding, with a start of 57.2 and top...
This is a great point about the bullet contacting the lands. If you already know your CBTO length, you can check that. If not, you might want to either measure that for your rifle, or pull one and then chamber the unfired case.
I have found that I prefer having more weight in case of wind and inclement weather. Just makes it one less thing to worry about. I switched up the 308 from 130 TTSX to 168 TTSX for that reason. I really like that 168 in my 30 Cals.
For that distance, I’d just load whatever shoots well. I have not heard of the LRX having issues at shorter distances and would not worry about that myself. You could jump up to the 168 LRX if you want to slow it up a little in the 28 Nos, and 212 LRX in the 30 Nos.
Check the thickness of the neck wall also. Could be that it’s thicker than the others and so neck tension is a bit stiffer. Seating might be putting too much pressure.t
