Picked up a Rinehart 18-1 blem and took it to Saskatchewan for my bear hunt. Glad I did. All the archers in the camp ended up shooting it, which was fine. Packed well and road up with no issues.
Will be taking it to Colorado in the fall and any other hunt I go on in the future.
Years ago, I shot 89#, not sure why. This year, I started with 70# after shooting 65 for many years. Finally backed down to 65 and I shoot better. One side of my brain says go back to 70, the other side says you shoot better at 65. We all struggle with that thing inside our heads.
In the middle of planning a drive up DIY moose hunt in 2025.
My question is, should I carry my Glock or will bear spray be enough? I know I’ll feel better with the Glock, but how do I get it up there? Can I ship it to someone so I don’t have to drive through Canada with it? This will be a...
I switched 3 years ago from the SH 5 or 7 pin sights to the SH Fast Eddie MRT 3 pin.
Pins are set at 20, 30 and 40 and I use the top pin with the tape. IMO, it gives me the best of both worlds. I can them as a fixed pin if it’s a quick setup or dial up the range if time allows.
Have 2 that I shoot, but they are both the same and setup the same except for the sight mounting. One is a dovetail and the other a direct mount.
I want switching from one to the other to be as seamless as possible.
Figure this comment will ruffle feathers.
After looking through the first days shots, I wonder how some guys pick their MER?
Picked mine because I practice at 60 because it’s 60 across a meadow that I elk hunt in.
Honestly, some guys might want to rethink their range. To me, MER is where I can...

Nope, you need 600+ grains and 20%+ FOC. Don’t you watch YouTube experts?
I’m pulling 65#, 490 arrow and 29” draw. Been hunting this setup for 8 years now and have not failed to get a pass through on anything I’ve shot at.
Remember, a well tuned arrow penetrates best.
New uncut, never fletched Easton Axis 5mm 340 shafts. Have moved on to a different size, so I don’t need these anymore.
$120 TYD PayPal or Venmo. If you pay with Venmo or Friends and Family, I’ll knock it down to $115.
