Funny, just about all I've used for the last decade or more has been Barnes TTSX & LRX's, not because I have to but I choose to. They've shot great in the many cartridges I load for and given good results on deer, antelope and elk from 5 yards to 410 yards, which is about as long as I tend to shoot.
When I put together my adult daughter's rifle I sent a M70 06' SS classic to pacnor, they copied the factory contour, cut it to 22" and did the chamber (6.5CM) work. I then dropped it in a MCM edge....It turned out great, I'd do it again.
I've been very happy with our results shooting TTSX and LRX's in 10 different cartridges.
I prefer not to ruin a bunch of meat and have had no problem killing with the Barnes......no masses of bloodshot meat and no drama..I will say I don't shoot beyond 500 yards.
Being a rifle hunter I've been using Geovids for the last 15+ years with great satisfaction and no drama. I've also owned every generation of the EL Ranges but my eyes just like the Geovids more.
SloppyJ, you should have luck with the previous 2 EL Range models/your left eye needs.
We get 20-22 MPG with our stock Lexus GX 460 , very capable rig on and off road, and so nice to drive.
As much as we loved our 4Runners the GX is more better, just not as burly looking.
