    Thermocell and snakeboots!!! Don’t leave home without them. There are a few wmas with really good turkey populations, but you will spend years waiting to draw a permit. The easy to draw permits are pretty heavily pounded.

    If you go with the viper be sure to verify you like the eyerelief. I have the viper 3.5-10 and the eye relief is right on the edge of being to close on top of my .270. And that win mag would have a bit more thump.

    All of my hunting rifles are at 2# except the one that is not adjustable and it is up for an upgrade soon. My one target rifle is 1lbs, 2oz. As everyone else has stated this is a very personal question. I did try running one of my hunting rifles down near 1.5# and I didn't like it.

    I’ve hunted big bend and Aucilla. I wouldn’t consider them premium tags, but I saw deer in both. Passed on two young bucks my last time at Aucilla a few years ago. And saw does at big bend. Lots of hogs at big bend in and around the cabbage palm hammocks.
