Elk lay down alot during the day, a bedded elk can be tricky to see with lower powers at distance..but you need to be able to one handed hold them while on a stalk and see if your being watched when in the red zone and that's different for everyone. for me 10s are awesome for elk
Will do, the sharpness of these binos is huge and I've done extremely well with the 10s in a very wide variety of situations & species but beings this fall is mostly deer and mostly wide open 700-1000 yard pluss glassing I'm going to try the 12s...time will tell of they are too shaky for spot...
Hunting more open muledeer country this year so was wanting to try the 12 nl pures instead of the 10s...absolutely love the 10s but I think I want to try the extra power
Thanks
In my opinion you should have the ability to stand and glass but obviously sit if you can...versatility is king in the mountains and standing while glassing off a tripod is still better then hand holding...also you can use your taller tripod for tarps and lights, aswell as extreme steep angles...
I'm pretty blown away people saying they arnt needed...
I typically range before I even glass just so I know how far I'm looking...let alone looking at a freaking bear. Idc who you are you will "guess" yardages wrong esp when looking at a cub vs a 300#r...
Don't waist your time, buy what ever...
Typically when people have false expectations, for example watching a 30k tag and thinking it's the same as an otc experience...they tend to quit way sooner then someone that knows what they signed up for...so i judt don't understand the argument how show casing a 30k tag on a film is bad for...
Finally drove enough to finish Matt's last podcast, and he did a much better job 👏 still disagreed on some minor points but overall he & his crew did great
I also enjoyed the part where he reached out to some big platform names to help work on a project, use their large reach, and lead by...
There's not yearly opportunity in Utah? I was thinking you'd say nevada lol
I know it's against the grain of this thread but there's a new gritty podcast with Brady Miller about hunters perception on getting tags
Brian call -"if your someone that complains about competition, your a bitch, and...
Yes
And for the record don't think im just super jacked about alot of social media, YouTube videos, or even rokslide...some if it is terrible...but there is a multitude of other issues going on along with a lack of accountability
Just that
Alot of People's expectations for fall are tied to if they get a 1 year tag, 2 year tag, 10 year tag, 20 year tag....when in reality if they just put 20 year effort into a general and then use the draws as an auxiliary they would have a completely different outlook. But the problem is...
I believe 90% of hunters are unsuccessful, they tie drawing tags to success so they when they don't draw there spirits get down, they blame others for the situation and Matt does a good pulling negativity out of any nook an cranny he can to support what ever his argument is...esp during draw...
😂 your right the only tags were gona count in this conversation is the ones that we can never obtain
Your correct there is point creep in alot of units but not necessarily all units...its not a all inclusive plague people make it out to be
Idaho is back to the demand it was when I first...
I have 11 big game tags this year...none of them took points or big pockets..... so why are they waiting again ?? They want to hunt so bad but arron snider swooped in and took them all ?? 😂 he just like the grinch that stoll Christmas but with tags right ? It's a direct ratio from arrons hunts...
