Trying to stay positive with all the crap 2020 has handed us throughout 2020, with the virus, storms, fires and a gillion other crappy things. I wanted to see what positive things you guys have seen develop during the year, so far.
For me, these are a few of the good things that have happened...
I went to NAU graduated in '89 with a BA in Business, Saw a bunch of snow, but the wind in the spring time is awful, I had an opportunity to stay and go to grad school, but didn't want to deal with the wind.
But, I damn sure wouldn't want TN, so I guess it would be Flagstaff
In January, don't worry about water holes or springs, just glass sunny hillsides in the morning. You may want to hunt the southern part of the unit, where snow should not be a big issue
I hunted 15 C South last year, rained like hell the day before opening day. Wind was bad and cold opening day making it hard to glass. It was easy to find sheep early in the mornings and when the wind would pick up, the sheep would go to cover.
Enjoy your experience, you may never get a chance...
Did your sister draw the north or south of 44B? Both are good, but the best place to start is by going to AZ Game & Fish website and click on the "Where to Hunt" tab, then find the unit. There is a bunch of good info there.
I put in for Rocky Mt BH with one point. I have a chance, a small one, but a chance
I should get a deer tag for coues and probably a turkey tag. Bison is another long shot
I’m a big fan of the 7 WSM and have tried several 175 grain and never could get any that were shooting sub 1 min except for Barnes
I’m getting ready to start on some 165 and something in the 150 range to see if I can tighten things up
