I hold way better with my 80% bow than my 85%. Now to be fair they aren’t the same bow so it’s not a perfect comparison but I can honestly say I tend to shoot better with the lower let off bow.
3 fletch max stealth slight offset and helical has been accurate for me. Pro max 4 fletch was also very good for me and smaller fixed heads and mechanicals.
Make sure your cord is not slipping and that is is pretty damn tight at rest, if you are using the hamskea as limb driven which I’m assuming you are. If what 406 said above doesn’t work. I’m not 100% on the newer bows but if I recall Mathews indexes their limbs based on deflection, if your limbs...
I didn’t catch which rest you are using. Your nock point centered between axles on the string? Your rest timed? Your cams timed? , is it contacting on the side, bottom, top? You have the correct top hat configuration in your axles? All questions that should help you solve your issue
My one and only experience with half outs was GT kinetics, they all bent in a short amount of time (one hunting season shooting TAC and just bag targets). I said never again. So far HITs and just normal plain jane standard arrows are what I like. I have had pretty good luck with easton axis for...
At this point I’m inclined to leave it at 85 until next winter when I get in my tuning and tinkering mood. Think I’m going to rock it the way it sits for hunting season
Well it ended up being two fold I guess. I took the engage grip off so that added maybe 1/4 inch or so and I was already maybe an 1/8 too short on my 28.5 mod. Since Mathews can’t measure and it’s more like a 28 and 7/8 mod. After putting the side plates on i untwisted my cables about 1 and 1/2...
Yep I am. I am about 1000 arrows in now. I ended up going to the shadow creek winter edition side plates. I just had too many left and rights with the engage grip. I haven’t got the 80% mods yet either. I did set my draw length perfectly for me and get my bow bareshaft/broadhead tuned though...
I think the white tail model doesn’t have 3rd axis adjustment. Also the original black gold dove tail doesn’t fit the bridge lock system so make sure you get the updated one that they just came out with. I can’t tell from your post if you understand 3rd axis adjustment but if you’re not familiar...
Dunno based on your dialogue I would wager you’re building them for the Boy Scouts.
I do not give a flying rats ass what anyone shoots. You do you man.
Where it matters is with a broadhead on the end. If your arrow has a measurable amount of runout cheap or expensive it’s going to fly like shit at distance. With a field point it doesn’t matter really. Atleast in my experience.
And to the dude getting butt hurt, calm your tits down, this isn’t...
If you’re breaking that many arrows you might look at why, rather than switching arrows.
But if you insist on shooting a cheaper arrow I would just make the switch and stick with whatever you choose year round. Gold tip kinetic hunters are a few bucks cheaper per shaft and similar in weight.
