I'm fairly upset about the closures since all my scouting is for nothing.
Pulled this from the CalFire website (https://www.fire.ca.gov/stats-events/). I don't know if this helps anyone else to feel better or worse, but 2021 is shaping up to be much worse than last year and may even set the new...
The main compartment has a drawstring to mostly close it. Then the top lid covers up the main compartment opening pretty well to avoid debris falling in. In the case of heavy rain I use a rain fly as the pack is not waterproof.
At the risk of sounding extremely impatient to spend more money, do you have an ETA for when the burnt bronze cerakoted Ti Pro 2 self timing might be available? Also, I'm vain and would like things to match if possible
My first time in the CBC and it was humbling. Finished 2/5 with some disappointing misses that likely wouldn't have happened on a typical range shooting day. Funny how much pressure knowing that I'd have to post my shots online added. Clearly my initial MER of 50 yards is too far for blacktail's...
Shooting a Hoyt Nitrux at 70lbs with a 27.5" drawlength, 12" stabilizer (don't remember brand), tightspot 5 arrow quiver with 4 in it for shot, black gold pro 5 pin, Hamskea hybrid hunter pro. Arrows are Easton Axis match 5mm 300 spine with 16gr HIT inserts and 100gr Sevr 1.5 mechanical...
Sweet. I'm currently running an outdoorsmans pan head (non-arca) on my tripod, so I'm gonna have to pick up a ball head with arca mount. Would you recommend the FBH-35D ball head mentioned earlier in the thread? I'm liking the price :)
I have a Hells Canyon Speed in 6.5CM that I'd definitely pick up a self timing brake for as soon as available. Are the Ti Pro 2 self timers with the metric threads that are to be added to store gonna be the ones in burnt bronze?
Having just shot the NRL Hunter match mostly off of bipod or top of pack, I learned that tripod shooting is vastly superior for stability in most field positions. This thread has been extremely helpful in giving me new ideas in how to spend more money.
I already received my rf.1 and can say it's a big upgrade over the Vortex Ranger 1300 I had been using previously. The glass is more than clear enough for my use and I've gotten quick ranges on pretty much everything I've pointed it at. The knob on the side is surprisingly helpful for navigating...
I know I'm probably celebrating prematurely, but just wanted to share my first 3, 3-shot groups of reloaded ammo out of my factory browning hells canyon speed 22" in 6.5 creed. All in weight is around 10# scoped with harris bipod and a cheek riser pack. Prior to this the best groups I had gotten...
I think the Kutana Hybrid is pretty darn close to the same thing as the Patagonia Nano Air jacket. Both use the same type of insulation if I remember correctly, and both had the same amount of stretch and warmth (from my limited time trying on the Kutana). The Patagonia piles up a bit and I...
Does anyone have any experience using the BTX eyepiece with the 65 objective? I currently only have the ATX with the 65 as all of my hunting tends to be backpack. Trying to decide between picking up a 95 objective vs the BTX eyepiece. Wallet cannot handle buying both. Either option would be...
Thanks for the great review @Zach Herold . When you were carrying out a load using the Seek Outside Lanner, what size frame extensions did you use? Or does the integrated not use frame extensions like the breakaway version of the pack?
