Looks like first having a magazine, preferably a loaded one, would be a good addition. Looks like they are walking on a range though. So just checking targets?
I have 2 rifles. Both started as Remington SPS varmint. They were less than $500 each new when purchased. .308 and 6.5 Creedmoor.
Replaced stocks, triggers, cut to 22” and threaded. Both shoot better than they have any business doing.
For a casual competition rifle 6.5 creedmoor is hard to...
Not sure…the pointy looking ears throw me off. Them ears look like Marten. Fisher and mink tend to have round ears.
Not sure why size would be that of a full grown mink. The Oxalis next to its head makes it look much smaller than an adult mink.
For me the 7.5-8.5lb range is the best compromise and 8.5 to 9.5lb I tend to shoot better in field positions. Once I get over 9lb it gets exponentially more annoying to carry in the field. I've gone as light as 5.5 and I'm just no good off-hand or in field positions at that weight.
I'm not sure how much the 7mm-08 would benefit from loading out long. I'm guessing you could run 162's or 180's out long and it would give a little more room for powder. Maybe stuff it full of RE17 or RE26 and get a bit more velocity. Like mentioned above, I don't think you'd outrun a 280 that...
The poles sank in the ground are what provide the wind shear for the building. Pole buildings aren’t framed and sheathed to provide the lateral stability like stick framed are.
I’m pretty sure if you can’t sink the poles 4 or 5 feet in good soil, a standard pole building would be out of...
That would be about the right target date if looking to develop a product that would could be sold during a resurgence of the Assault Weapons Ban.
Not having a folding stock would fall in line as well.
I bed under the shank a little depending on my seat-o-the pants assessment of the situation. Like how heavy is the barrel, how flimsy the action, how flimsy the stock.
An aluminum chassis is quite stiff.
The B&C fiber reinforced foam stock my kids rifle is in is the opposite of stiff. It...
I have 3 or 4 of the electric recharge safe dehumidifiers. They are a desiccant container that you plug into an outlet for a day or so to recharge(dry) and then put back in the safe. I run 2 per safe and recharge them as the indicator changes color.
SnapSafe is one brand, but I have a few...
LOL, drug it with my rig. Was getting it out of the pasture and out of the sight of snowflakes so I could field dress and break it down. Was a damage control hunt. Best to keep things low key.
I have the SLC’s and chose them over the EL’s just due to feel, familiarity, and tripod stud mounting. They were an ounce or two lighter as well, and cheaper.
Really the two are so close as to not matter, just pick what your preference suggests.
I believe 10x to be the most versatile...
