I have a waypoint 2020 in 300 PRC and love it. But looking at adding a different new rifle. I like the carbon barrels and detachable mags…. Anyone have experiences with the Crest Carbon vs Fierce?

I’m looking at a 6.5 or 7 PRC.

Thanks in advance.

I have a fierce ct rival xp in 7 prc. It shoots great and no complaints. I do wish I would have bought the MTN reaper because I am wanting a folding stock. I am hoping to find a mdt hnt26 for black Friday and solve that want. Also lots of fierce haters on here.

Yeah, Fierce generally has a bad rap around this bunch. I have been around 3 of them. I have a CT rival in 300wm. My buddy has one of the older Canadian rifles in the sako(?) clone action in 280 ai and a Carbon rival in 300 RUM. No real problems and all three are shooters that are easy to load for.

I had the Canadian fury also, great rifles. Kind of sorry I sold it. super smooth action.

He ended up finding the fury in a 22" bbl. It's been a hammer with 160s and 140s. His RUM shot the 1st load he threw into it. 200 NABs IIRC.
The major complaint I have seen here with Fierce is the CS . The two times I have talked to them they have been very responsive. The small screw holding the safety lever on the B&A trigger kept working loose. Called to ask if a thing layer of Blue LT would hurt any internals.
2nd call was prior to a trip to BC. Extractor had a rough spot that left a mark on case rim. Read where those extractors had failed. Called them up and a couple days later several spares showed up. Replaced the original and problem solved.
