I used to suffer from cramps almost nightly on hard hunts. A few things I have done that have helped. One, being in better shape. Although this makes me able to push harder each day so..... Two, stretch. Both in the morning and before hitting the rack. Just a little on my cramp prone muscles...
Wow, terrible! Guessing it was someones cost cutting project as my 12x12 is 14-15 years old. It has been through several snow and severe wind storms with no issues. It is due for a seam sealing....
First, I am in Idaho and if not successful during archery, have a muzzleloader cow tag. I have a Vortek Northwest that I picked up at Sportsmans a few years back. It's ok, seems to shoot straight, but I am thinking of upgrading to a Knight UL.
I am currently shooting the lead powerbelts in...
I've installed E track on the walls, in the process of putting 4 interior led lights. Got a battery box with a 30 amp battery. Solar charger, but still can't decide if I am hard mounting it to the roof or just keeping it loose so I can just put it out when needed. Also installed some fold...
I have the Arlo cameras as well. I believe there is a way to have it save automatically to a hard drive if you want that. You can save any individual videos you may want or need from the cloud as well, but need to grab it during the 7 day window.
The Cabelas in Idaho Falls will give you a discount on firearms due to they need to move them from the racks to the back room every night and they get dinged up. I just picked up a Savage 110 hunter in 223. It was marked $669.99 and was the only one they had. It had some scuffs on the stock...
You said this is your first archery mule deer. Is it your first mule deer all around? Game animals all taste a bit different.
To add to everything stated above, the 2 shots and long death lead to ALOT of adrenalin pouring into the muscles of this deer. That can definitely change the flavor...
I hunt solo. I say I prefer it, but I have not really hunted with a good hunting partner. That said, I find the biggest disadvantage is not having the caller set back 40-60 yards for archery elk. I have numerous bulls come in, and pin me down as both the caller & shooter. Seems you would be...
TomJoad,
The cool bot does this for you. It tricks the AC thinking it is 85 in the room. Also has a sensor that you put in the AC fins that is to cycle the AC to keep it from freezing up.
If you need pics I can take some and up load them but it's basically just the AC mounted through the...
I live about an hour north of Poky. SE Idaho is not a bad place to live, but I would not have chosen this area if it was not for work. The area is heavily mormon influenced. Its not all bad, but there is a real overall lack of diversity. Poky is better than where I am, but it is still a VERY...
I have a 16 footer. Also flipped the axels and put in new equalizers.
here is a link to a previous post on the topic with some pic of my mods.
