Congrats Ozz08! I chewed for 4 months, and when I woke up one morning, and chew was the first thing that came to my mind, I quit that day. My quitting wasn't anything like what you have done, but I have to imagine that quitting chewing is like anything in life: You have to believe that it will...

Another good one is "Nature's Coffee Kettle" VERY good coffee. I bring it with me to Alaska. It comes in a reusable bag with fresh grounds. It is convenient and easy to use. http://www.naturescoffeekettle.com/
I am by no means a nutritionist, but from what little I know, carbs aren't bad like we all once thought. In fact they are important right after you work out. I always drink Gatorade right after I workout, and try to eat a meal with a fair number of carbs. Are you changing up your workout? And...
Cool post!!! I have found that most any wild game makes very good fajitas. The tougher the meat, the thinner you slice it. Venison also makes good chili, as we have seen in earlier post. For my family we like to mix 1 pound of ground venision with 2 lbs. of beef burger.
The best recipe I have...
When I am hunting in the bush, I like to precook food: bacon, burger, etc. Put it in ziplocs. It will last longer, and will take less time, and fuel to heat when you are ready to eat it.
Thermarest neo air is 2.5" thick, weighs less than a pound, and is very tough. I have over 200 nights on mine. I guess they have a newer, more durable one.
It is the best I have used and haven't look at others since, so that is the only one I know of, it is about $170, but worth every cent!!
Honey do
The only thing that I do extra for my wife, who lets me guide for up to 100 days in Alaska each year, is I naturally treat my family better, and spend more quality time with them before I leave and after I come home. She understands that being in the wilderness and doing something that...
I can't afford it!!!! Ha! Honestly, I haven never even bought a tag for any animal in Alaska, and don't really have the desire to do so. People just don't seem to believe me when I tell them that. But, I NEVER think "I wish I could shoot that one." Maybe some day, but in 15 years, I haven't shot...
I have been using Firstlite since they first began, and the same with Sitka. Hands down, Firstlite has the best base layers. Don't forget the wool underwear! This stuff is awesome.
Couple of big Brooks Range rams
I have guided for over 30 Dall rams, but I have never shot one for myself. I have guided for 2 that were 39.5", but have yet to break the 40" barrier. This giant-bodied, one-horned ram was aged at 17 years! Apparently about 5 years before my hunter shot him, he...
