I don’t. I typically have my spotter wrapped in a layer or in the center of my main bag anyways. I like the eyepiece to be easily accessible when I’m using it so I just protect the body.

Relatable. 2 boys under 2 in mi casa presently. I’ll also be sitting out another sheep season in respect to another species. This will be the third year I’ve not hunted sheep!
Archery only any bull draw tag makes up for it though, I suppose. Should be a good time!

Learn to sew and start making your own modifications and gear…careful though, you may end up with a side gig.
Also, you’ll realize how much everything is marked up within the industry and it’ll make you that much more of a penny pincher. [emoji2961]

I’ve been on a hiatus for a little while. Dadding pretty hard and finding other things to do instead of sew, like bait bears, organize and run local softball League and tournaments yada yada yada. Anyways, a fellow slider, requested a bag.
The idea is to mimic the Sherman from kifaru, kind of...
Spikes are nice on the steep grassy slopes when it rains. If you lose you’re footing, you’re going for a serious ride. They don’t weigh shit so I always have some form of spikes. Whether that be micro spikes, hillsound ratcheting crampons or full on crampons.

I rarely take my inner tent. I typically only have the outer and the footprint.
You can change out your zippers for cordage. You can eliminate some weight and bulk by downsizing your guy outs and getting different tensioners. It’s all really negligible weight savings though. I did it with one...
My biggest suggestion is a space with room to not have your sewing table butted up with a wall in front if you. Having space between the table and wall to let fabric fall off the end of the table is HUGE when working with large projects.

Not quite sewing but upholstery falls in the same category in my book! Nice project to handle on a beautiful afternoon here in SE AK. Now my bear baiting buggy is stylin’!

Yes! The real trouble I had was executing the zipper to my liking. I typically like to stitch right side to right side with the zipper and then fold back over and topstitch. With the 1/8” foam interfacing I had to alter that process slightly. Definitely lost some material stumbling through that...
See Steve, what you just said is a major part of the problem. You don’t want to broadcast over the forum the outfits entire statistical status…if you truly want to pimp your stats or “your camp’s stats”, that’s great. But why hide the rest?
I say make every outfit licensed in the state...
Custom Gun scabbard for a folding chassis rifle. Personally not my favorite project, because I learned a lot and stumbled along the way. The customer wanted to have the rifle folded in the case so it became a little short stubby thing. But it should be plenty durable to last him a good long...
I second this. Or plan on recessing your machine on your own into your own work space. I did and I am SO happy with that change. It’s really speeds up work flow.

I have an Activa and LOVE it. It doesn’t handle thick fabrics stacked up or layers of webbing well. But it’ll do 3/4 of the sewing you’ll want to do, I’d bet. I use mine for light weight stuff and then use my sailrite for the heavy stuff. Really enjoy my bernina.
