If by bdc you want a reticle etched hash marks for holding distance, I’d give the trijcon Huron a good look. Pick the 308 version, and shoot at 300 ( with 100 yd zero) and reduce magnification until your on. You’d be good out to 250. -

With kydex, you can shrink it back. Get hair dryer and warm it on both sides. Don’t put knife in until cool. Try 20 seconds each side and see if it shrunk by putting knife in. If not tight try 30 and so on. -

Why is it so hard to get my scope level?
