We had an old male Vizsla that was terrified when we brought home the open mouth grizzly rug. Didn’t have a wall big enough for it at the time so put it on the spare room bed facing out to the door.
Duke wouldn’t go near the rug until I baited him into taking cheese out of my hand next to the...
Contrary to what is stated, CO is slightly lighter than air, even warm air….but ends up mixing in the air rather well. CO monitors can be placed low, at eye level or on the ceiling per the several manufacturers that pop up on a google search of the subject. (EPA says follow the manufacturer’s...
Yolink remote monitors have replaced our old Accuraite monitors in our freezers and frig. Stronger signal that transmits thru concrete, steel, etc much better than the Accurite ever did.. There is a speaker (in our case in the kitchen) that speaks to "alarm" conditions, and the alarms also...
Working in an underground mine where you drop or raise 2900’ in less than 4 minutes entering g or exiting the mine you get good at equalizing pressure in your ears. I used the yawn method, dropping my jaw. If you had congestion it was more difficult to get the pressure to equalize.
Good luck...
Yes, I bowhunted CO elk for 35 seasons, sometimes with the muzzleloaders for 9 days in mid-September if I hadn't already filled a tag. As a resident, I knew how to avoid them mostly and it wasn't an issue for me. But it was for many bowhunters.
Season structure way pre-dates my 14 years in BC so I do not have a definitive answer. But there is not an active bowhunters organization to lobby for bow seasons....way different than where I moved from in CO. And our 9 day Sept bow season also includes the youth rifle season. Crossbows are...
Locally in BC we have a 9 day archery deer (mule and whitetail, separate tags) season Sept 1-9. Then it is bowhunt in the gun season for the next 3 MONTHS. Ya, we don’t have hardly any decent bucks unless you have access to some exclusive private land.
I've owned two Honda TL250 trials bikes (1975 and '76 models) and a TL200 (mid '80's model?). The TL250s had a magnesium 4-stroke engine and weighed 212# dry weight as I remember them. I used them for access to hunt CO sheep and mulies on old mining roads in the high country. Also to bait...
Looks like an excellent system....and similar but even stronger than what I've achieved over the past decade by using their D-6 SS 22 gr insert epoxied into Carbon Injexions with a Firenock outsert installed over the shaft to use regular threaded broadheads and field points.
I had a confirmed wolverine sighting in CO in 1979. Wolverine did two passes by my buddy's bear bait located 10 yards or so from me. l was bowhunting outside of Parshall, CO (Grand Co) up toward the lookout tower on the second to last evening of spring bear season, (Friday, June 29). He never...
Congratulations! Great luck to get him opening evening. And excellent job on the meat care!
I was fortunate to draw the Henry Mt NR tag about 23 yrs ago. Arrowed a younger bull. Awesome eating and a full day of packing….5 trips each to get it all to the truck. Completed 24 hrs after I shot...
NWT requires an export permit and plugging for a ram leaving the Territory. The document will list all the sheep parts in the container that is sealed with a wire and lead seal that the hunter is exporting. That and my license and carcass tag was what I needed to go home to BC.
Not sure...
I bowhunted caribou with ARRO in ‘18 and ‘21 and saw some Dall sheep too (moose, grizzlies and wolves as well). Great outfit that hunts some of the wildest country in North America.
Where I caribou hunted at ARRO wasn’t as steep as where I sheep hunted with Canol in ‘17, but the NWT outfitting...
To convert to kW from Watts you divide by 1000, not multiply by 100 as noted above.
Edited to correct my error per Mighty Mouse....too early when I posted I guess.!
Fat, No check from an arrow company....and a happy user of the discontinued Easton 4mm Carbon Injexion. Used them for 11 seasons now, and have enough for quite a few more hunting seasons.
I do NOT like Deep 6 components though...too weak in the skinny broadhead shank for me as well as in...
I've used Michelin Defender LTX M&S for 20 years year around on our pickups...1/2 ton F150's and 1 ton F350 using the OEM size tires. Great wet and ice traction with the siping and work well as snow tires for me. Wear great, ride quiet, handle well, etc.
As a point of reference I drove from...
Some of my favorites we have:
Beretta A400 Xplor 28 ga with 28” barrel. Great upland gun that I shot a ruffed grouse with as recent as yesterday afternoon. 5-1/2 #s but not whippy like many ultra-light guns (for me).
AYA SxS #2 Round Body side locks, 28” barrels, twin triggers, English...
I'd buy a high quality 10x42 bino...works well hand held or on a tripod, you can use them in the timber and open spaces. Not too bad to carry at around 2#s for Swaro.
My 11 year old Swarovision 10x42 ELs have worked great archery hunting caribou, moose, sheep, deer, elk, etc. That said, I do...
