I can only speak of the durability of the Night Force SHV. I was out in Idaho in October on a quad with the rifle strapped to a rear rack. After 5 days of ripping up and down small rough trails, we tested the rifles on rocks from 150 out to 280 yards Dialing for the range. The SHV was perfectly...
I recently built a 6 ARC with a Proof 18" Stainless barrel. Been out twice now shooting both factory and handloads. Have not chorno'd any loads yet, but happy so far with accuracy.
Oh course. We use it for sous-vide, rice, beans, yogurt, stews with various meats, and some asian dishes that most would not associate with a pressure cooker.
I had my friend’s wife who is Korean show me how to make venison bulgogi. Really delicious. I also make venison empanadas, turkey enchilada, and some other wild game dishes.
for the failure to feed, I think that may be the magazine, but need to test other mags. The suppressor definitely contributes to the increased fowling in the gas block and receiver area A little worse than 223 and 6.8spc with a suppressor. I have not kept a round count, but should be somewhere...
Yes and the SD was 14.4 and the numbers for the 155 gr. It is a tad hot in the SFAR and the brass is on the verge of not be reloadable. Factory ammo is also shown. That factory ammo is slow, but fairly accurate. I am a little weary of trying other factory ammo after the experience with the...
Maybe I got lucky, but my 16” SFAR seems to be a decent shooter
Hornady American Gunner 155 bthps do well as do 168 gr bthps over H4895.
these are 5 round groups at 100 yards. I have a SWFA 10x mounted for these.
this is a 10 round group
I did test factory Nosler 125 Ballistic Tip ammo...
I had sent my 3-9 back to SWFA, and just received it’s replacement Have not had a chance to play with it and check the focus yet. I do see that they are using a new fancy box instead of the old plane Jane box.
I mounted a 3-15 SWFA on my custom Ruger #1 in 6mm CM.
Actually like it better then the 3-9 which was having some focus issues. I sent the 3-9 back to SWFA to see if there was an issue with it. Did not have the same focus issue with the 3-15. I am not picky on glass, but do want a sharp...
Brother managed to get a 33 deer tag at around 8pm EST. Wasn’t planning on hunting that far west so should be interesting. Been in 35 and 36, but not 33.
I am actually having the same issue. I was shooting it side by side with the SWFA 3-15 and had no issues with the 3-15. Also have a 6x and a 10x and no issues those either. I will be calling them this week. Drives me bonkers trying to focus on the reticle on the target dot.
the chiggers are long gone when the itching starts so the finger nail polish is useless. The junk they leave behind is what causes the itching.
What does help is not scratching the bite. Another thing that helps is applying extra strength acne medication like Clearasil. The sialic acid...
I got shingles a few years ago. got a rash on my chest, but that was noting. It was the pain in the back of the head , neck, and back. Every morning, I felt like someone beat me over the neck with a baseball hat. there is a prescription for the shingles nerve pain that really helps to clear...
I have a Ruger No. 1 in 7mm Mag that looked much worse than that and it still shot close to 1" groups..I did recently send it off for a new barrel in a different caliber. I have another Ruger No. 1 in 338 WM that has a few spots similar to that , and that rifle will shoot just under an inch if I...
Found this interesting info:
Ruptured Duck Patch
More formally called the Honorable Service Lapel Patch, the "Ruptured Duck" was given to those members of the U.S. military who were honorably discharged during WWII. The insignia was worn on the right chest of the uniform and was meant to...
