Also, the leather lems are flannel lined, so they can get hot in the summer if you get sweaty feet like I do. I haven’t tried any of their shoes, just worn the leather Boulder boot.
I have had several pairs of lems, they are very comfortable boots. Every pair I have worn has blown out that seam on the toe after about 2 months of wearing them daily for work. Its a super easy fix, I just sew it back together with a big needle and braided fishing line, but it is something to...
I think about that every time these endless bullet/cartridge discussions come up. Some people seem to forget that literally every animal they’re arguing about, from whitetail does to cape buffalo, gets killed every year by a razor blade on the end of a stick.
Edited to add: with only around 70...
Ive shot 80 grain barnes out of a 1:10, they shot fine. Killed three deer with that load and was underwhelmed with the performance. All three died, but traveled around 100 to 125 yards. The wound channel reminded of the damage you would expect from a broadhead. Very minimal meat loss though, and...
Brownells has Faxon complete uppers in 22 arc on sale for $495 right now…. I literally just bought another upper in 223 wylde two weeks ago. Kinda wish I had seen this first.
Do you reload, or shoot factory ammo? If shooting factory, I would buy a 223 just for the abundance of lower cost ammo. I think everyone needs a 223 though, so I might be a bit biased…
Either one would work great. I would never try and talk someone out of a 22 creedmoor 😀
I like it! I haven’t shot my 30-06 much since I bought a 243. Might have to try and shoot a pig with a 178 eldm, just to show how much meat loss there is.
I have read lots of Phils articles in Fur Fish Game over the years, love his writing. Yes, he normally doesn’t carry a 9mm. That doesn’t change the fact that he DID carry a 9 at least once. If he actually did not believe it would put down a bear I doubt he would’ve carried it. And the fact...
Interested in this as well. I have a tang safety 30-06 that was a gift from my dad, but I have hardly shot it since buying a 243. Now the 134 eldm has had me thinking for a while that a new barrel in 25-06AI would be pretty fun….
Those smoker tubes look like a good way to use the grill I have already and not have to spend money on a smoker, might have to pick one up for the next batch. The bags of ice is a great idea! In west TX right now my traeger is usually around 140 degrees already when I start it….
