    The action to the stock isn't a major problem as long as it fits. Also, the trigger group has to be installed.

    I wouldn't call them wide but they do not taper. I'd call them straight. Kuiu, in general, fits slimmer. I'd say these are no exception but they are not their most slim fitting pant.

    Got it. Yeah, but it's really light compared to a 30'06 which is what I shot. It's even lighter than many of the 308 based cartridges. I'm not going to have him shoot bear and deer with a .223 I don't think.

    Again, I appreciate the offer and may take you up on it. Would you say that the results, whether objective or subjective, are still good when doing it yourself? That'd be another concern for me is getting done with it and it shoots a 2" group.

    What barrel? Is there anything wrong with the one they come with? Wouldn't chopping off 4" of a superlite get me there? I don't think the fluting starts for about 5 or 6".
