    A nation of wimps?

Yes we are. I spent 35 yrs in the military. The change in our young men is drastic. In attitude, work ethic, physical ability and moral turpitude. There are exceptions, but those exceptions are few.

    Mule deer Wyoming Options?

Because a 10- point unit for a non-res can be an OTC for a resident who has scouted and planned to hunt there all year! Think about it. Last year I spent the summer, sometimes in 105 deg temps scouting and finding bucks... and I did. Opening day there were eight guys from Pensylvania with...

The greatest cheap gun you've ever owned?

I had one of those as a youngster. Didn't Mossberg make those? I killed a lot if small game and ducks/geese with it.

Emergency Chain saw for the pickup

Good question. Maybe a #2 pencil, lol. After using the 6ah battery that cut probably thirty logs in the 4"-10"range I think my 12ah will do just fine for camping fire wood. It beats hauling wood up the mountain when we camp or hunt... and I hate hauling stinky gas with hunt and camp gear. I...

Emergency Chain saw for the pickup

I bought a Milwaukee M18 16" electric chain saw. The thing is a beast. They claim 180 cuts per 12ah battery. I took it up camping last month and cut enough firewood for three days with just the 6ah battery. The 12ah battery cuts a lot more. This is not a weak battery tool. It is a cutting...

    September Truck must haves

I carry a battery jump pack under my back seat. It has bailed out several friends now. The size I have will jump your truck quite a few times before recharging. They make smaller units not a lot bigger than a big cell phone that will jump several times before discharging.

    Northwest Fire Danger

We have a 200,000 acre fire burning here in Johnson and Campbell County Wy right now. Zero contained and wind is kicking again today. It started near us Wed and has been going since. WY has fires scattered throughout the state right now. If you have a muley 17, 26 or 29 tag, elk 129, or...

Tell me why I shouldn't move to wyoming...

Pfft... we get 65 mph winds here outside Buffalo and some reach 85 mph+. 40 is a gentle breeze, lol. Wind is the hardest part of dealing with WY for me. 40-65 mph winds for a week straight can be maddening. Re-shingled parts of our roof on our NEW house six times in 2021-2022. Also had to...
