Mental game - First solo hunt vs later on with multiple solo hunts under the belt.
What did, or did not, change? What would you say to yourself if you could go back and give yourself advice right before your first solo hunt?
Side question - this is my first year for SD. I applied for the NR archery tag in time and was awarded, has anyone received the tag? When do they usually mail them?
Shot the Nock On course Sunday. I thought it was good, a few longer targets. 3 over 100 to be exact, shot the bigfoot with dudley which was cool. Overall, wish there were more extreme angle shots.

What is the most commonly repeatable habitat for finding the most bucks (not necessarily the BIGGEST buck) in the high country early season. Mixture of feeding features to cover, slope aspect, slope steepness, timber vs rocky cover, relation to water, etc.

Lots of accurate and some not so accurate info given in this thread already.
The quiver you found in CO, could you PM me the unit? I have a friend that lost his quiver a few years ago in CO. Obviously a long shot but I'm curious. Hilarious story.. lost it hiking in before daylight, sun rose and he had 5 bulls bugling around him with no arrows! haha
