Yep...drew a nice muley tag finally back in 18. Ended up hitting a nice buck way too high...barely clipped his back I think. Checked zero and it was no longer zeroed. Was hitting high. Vortex PST. Absolutely loved the warranty that day! Came in so clutch. 🙄 Never used it again.
Thin grey Atlas nitrile gloves for anything year round so I can actually still do things.
My hands are really warm blooded tho. The Milwaukee ones are good too. If it's below zero or something like that I use Kincos.
Hornady 140 or 147 eld match or 143 eld x. Went thru the leg bone at 350 on my son's first buck, quartering to, thru the heart.
And my daughter put one thru the ribs at 475 on hers. Both died in sight. There is zero issue with paper thin scapulas or heavier leg bone. Both had exits.
Graksaw boot dryers with a hand warmer in the boots should work wonderful. I picked up the dryers last year, but haven't REALLY put em to the test. I know. Just a 3 inch fan that goes in each boot. Quite light, plug into your battery bank if you bring one. They are quite efficient but again I...
Davis. I have a 16x14 that's quite nice. Never spent time in anything else beside a synthetic Cabela's Alaknak.
That Alaknak tended to collect quite a bit of condensation and wasn't in the same level as a good canvas tent. Built in floor also that I didn't like.
Hear good things about almost...
Just to report , using the NXT rectangular, 25" wide model with a Zen bivy 15 light bed. Giving me my best sleep ever, incredibly comfortable combo..almost too warm with nights at 31-40 degrees but it's easy to vent the quilt so it was money. Buddy got chilly in kuiu 30 bag on a thinner sea to...
Yeah it works great! Just set the pad with the sheet on on the cot. I use the pad regardless of temp. Definitely experiment with air pressure. Double your comfort. Edit to add: also using thermarest xtherm NXT 25" wide, rectangular or sea to summit ether extreme xt same size. Makes for an...
My zebralight is simply not working this year. Battery seems to charge fine. Do the bulbs break or fail on these? How would I check what it is? I just don't love it yet. Can only choose floody or spot and can't adjust the beam like my older black diamond etc.
I often pack it during later, colder high country hunts. Peak biscuits and gravy with coffee, or hot bone broth, with a meat stick and cheese and butter in it on the glassing spot is too good on those days. Other warmer or shorter days it's snacks. But I'm a coffee addict so there's that.
I've used the 300 prc/215 berger on deer, antelope and elk. It's an Alamo precision 24" proof rifle .
It certainly works but didn't kill any deader than my daughter's buck she shot at 475 with a 16" 6.5 CM and 140 eldms or my boys first buck at 350. Both with same set up, suppressed.
It's by...
