Most of the areas i hunt I could run into game at any point the minute i start walking. I also like to still humt. I very rarely sling my rifle and am always cradle carrying.
If you like how the rifle fits a rebarrel makes a lot of sense. Not a huge market for STW at this point so it'll be swing or miss if you can get what you want for it.
Looking for opinions on a simple, stable, standing height tripod that will stay on a covered deck for regular wild life viewing. Does not need to be light or compact.
I have maven 18x and love them. So easy to pick apart country, plenty of magnification, if i want to get closer. Really only use the spotter for digiscoping.
I bought a 632 when they debuted with the rokslide code to save 10%. I’ve only had it out for a few days but so far i am incredibly impressed with its functionality. Very light, very stiff. Right height for floor or low camp chair glassing. I’m using a ch10 small rig head and it has been stellar...
Its pretty sweet for what it is! Very stiff for how small it is and pairs perfectly with my ch10. Perfect height for sitting on the ground or a low camp chair. Only have a few days in the field with it but its a sweetheart for sure.
I have used the CH10 version (without the leveler) for two years. weighs 7 ozs and once they break in they are really great for the money. I bought another on ebay for 35$ shipped last month for my new slik 632 for a bomber ultralight back country set up. Handles my 18x binos, kowa 774 with no...
They are shooters but require some tinkering to really sing and be smooth. I have a grendel and it is a dandy deer gun with almost no recoil. Has shot basically everything i’ve fed it to about an inch at 100. The stocky’s carbon i got was pretty rough (kind of worth it at 14oz) especially for an...
For the love of god I wish leupold would just make the 6x42 with a cds-zl and a better erector. even if it weighed another oz or two it would be so worth it.
Brand new replacement from Zeiss after shipping damage. Have receipt showing that this is new. Box is a little beat up from shipping but includes all information/straps/covers etc. Bought a big kowa and this has to go. This is a kick ass ultralight scope.

Well she’s here (blistering shipping from s&s). First impressions are that this might be the most banger ultralight glassing set up i’ve seen. Super stiff for how thin it is (one joint life is where its at!). Height adjustments are perfect for seated glassing both on chair height and sitting on...
I run kilo 6k 10x42s for general glassing and ranging, a set of maven 18x for picking country and infrequently a spotter for long work/digiscoping. Having a single 10x/8x rangfinding bino was so worth it in my mind.
