I used mine a while back when I did my ccw renewal. Like an idiot I forgot my muffs at home and realized it when we got to the range. My ear buds were all I had. They worked ok, but not great. I wouldn't have wanted to be around a braked rifle with just them.
I double up when I remember, which isn’t near enough. The whole tactical crowd that shows up and dumps mags gets frustrating pretty quick. I was out this morning and had the range to myself until a couple other dudes showed up. It was fine at first they just had bolt guns out, right at the end...
Like others have said, terrible idea in the summer time. There was a huge fire here in California a year or 2 ago from this exact thing. Maybe shoot a balloon filled with blue or pink powder with your bow instead.
I have kicked around leaving the tote, and having my pack loaded and in a kuiu taku bag. Then on my return trip I can hopefully have my horns and cape in the taku bag with some clothes wrapped around the horns and the rest of my stuff in my pack. I have a few different books I havent started and...
I'll take my crocs as camp shoes. I do have a few dry bags, I'll check and see exactly how many though. The change of clothes for camp is a great idea. How are the bugs that time of year, is a head net needed? I plan on bringing the cape and horns back, I got a rubbermaid tote for them I was...
I think it depends on how cold your hands get. My hands are the one thing that gets cold easily. I used Kuiu mittens third season a couple years ago in Colorado and was very happy with them. I had a couple times when I didnt put the mittens on and my hands froze. I bought the Kenai gloves a...
Its dang good if done right. I do at least one a week. Costco seems to have the best around here. I use mustard as a binder then season with montreal seasoning and garlic salt. 5 minutes on each side over the coals then pull off direct heat for about 12 minutes gives me a perfect medium rare...
I do a lot of tri tips. Been doing a bit more chicken thighs lately also. I’ve been wanting to try a brisket but haven’t yet. Are you guys that are doing brisket using a pellet smoker or an offset? I used to use my pellet smoker all the time but have been using charcoal and really like the...
I just got my Jellyfish in the mail, I should have some time to shoot with it tomorrow and I'll report back. It feels like it weighs nothing which is nice.
I prefer angled. I’ve had both and the angled is more comfortable for me. I’ve gotten it down where it doesn’t take any longer for me to go from binos to angled for target acquisition. I do get a lot of the pros for the straight though. I’m 6’5” so the angled is much easier for me to use angled...
I ordered the jellyfish a couple days ago, hopefully it shows up tomorrow or Saturday so I can try it out this weekend. I have just been using some cheap one from midway that works ok.
I listened to most of it on my hike tonight and really enjoyed it! I’m kinda like Steve though, my mind wanders when I hear something and I’ll think about that one thing for a bit 🤣 I will start it over again tomorrow while I drive around checking jobs.
I have a PBB 6.5 prc barrel I just took out weekend before last. I am very happy with it. I put like 18 rounds through it, after bore site I shot a 10 round group right at 1.5 inches. I am hoping to get out this weekend and shoot at 5-600 and see how it does and chronograph it.
