My season is also 2 weeks here in South Dakota. Normally I bring 2 coolers. 1 for meat just incase weather isn't cold enough, and 1 for all my food. I usually bring everything I like to eat at home. I bring a small gas grill along with a few steaks, ground beef for burgers, brats. Lunches...
Ok, I haven't dabbled much in sleeping bags, plan on heading to Alaska next year for some bear hunting in the mountains. I'm assuming this one would be pretty decent for packing in?
I use them for antelope up to elk. The power shoks are by far the best cheaper bullet I've shot out of my gun compared to 4 or 5 other cheaper rounds I've tried. I was just curious if it's worth an extra $40-$50 a box for the top of line ammo.
I have a stock Savage model 111 .300 win mag. And the bullets that I find work fairly well are the Federal blue box 150gr or 180gr. I haven't dabbled in any of the high end partitions or anything. I'm just curious what everyone else shoots out of their stock .300 win mags. Thanks everyone!
Nothing wrong with the ought 6! Good choice in my book. All I use is a .300 win mag, just a suped up ought 6. With 150gr round all the way up to 200+ , I shoot antelope all the up to elk, and moose if I ever do a moose hunt
Thanks everyone, I was leaning towards the Ash, second was probably stone or gunmetal. Debated on khaki but I think that will be too light and get dirty a lot easier. Happy 4th everyone!
My wife and kids are heading up to my brothers lake cabin near Detroit Lakes, MN. About a 3 hour drive from Sodak. Always a great time. Don't work too hard and enjoy the 4th!!
Find whatever fits your feet good, whether it be kennetrek, crispi, schnees, lowa or any other reputable boot company. I bought my first "good" pair of boots last year. I bought the Schnee Beartooth 0g, and I wish I would have bought a good pair of boots years ago instead of being a tight wad...
Well if I got a 2 man with 2 vestibules the gear could go in the vestibules. Weather could be cold to warm, snow to rain. Only going to be using as 1 or 2 night camp type deal. Don't plan on spending 5+ days in it.
