Not in Idaho anymore but I’m doing exactly that in North Dakota right now. I’ve got a little chunk of public land that holds a bunch of does. There’s a really good buck that’s sitting on the outskirts of that public right now. I’m not going in to bump the does until I see he’s on unable land...
No. Using the Kuiu harness. This is the second pair I’ve had, after the first pair had something similar.
The revics ease of wind adjustment appears to be superior. Just want to understand if it’s still using a internal compass to set wind direction
Couple questions here. Do the Revics have an internal compass like the vortex Furrys? If so, do you need to recalibrate when changing hunting locations? Has anyone experienced issues with the wind settings not being accurate when attempting to set your cross winds?
I have the furry Abs and...
Here’s a 77 TMK, 2533fps impact on my wife’s mule deer today. Shot was 250 yards and he was quartering too hard. Told her to split the chest and front shoulder and she did just that. Dead in 20 yards. Glad she stayed off the shoulder.
This is our first big game kill with the TMK’s. I was...
I think the Leofoto SA 364C or something in that lineup would be the budget option.
It’s a bit heavier and definitely not able to hold the weight a RRS is rated for.
It’s still a decent platform to shoot off of though.
I used to shoot 77 grains of h1000, Fed 215, Petersons long brass, with a 212 eldx. That was going at 2975 fps out of a 26inch Seekins ph2. Spreads were in the teens and it worked well out to 1200 yards.
I shot one with the 6 creed and a 80 eldvt right before this one and that 80 grainer didn’t even leave a blood spot. I’ll be playing musical guns between the 6 and 22 creed this winter. Planning on sticking with the Eld-VTs exclusively.
