Rifle scopes you'd love to see Form test

Yeah optically it’s very good. Excellent eye box and low light performance. The MSR2 reticle is very thin in this model, I think it is more optimized for the 5-30x or 5-25x range vs lower mag scopes, and it was my opinion that it was way too thin for general hunting use. And it’s a big scope...

143 ELD-X blew up on the shoulder?

I think there is also substantial room for error when judging an animal’s exact orientation to us. What someone perceived as ‘perfectly broadside’ could have actually been a bit more of a quartering angle than they realized. I have observing this myself in shots on an elk that I perceived as...

    RokStok

@Unknown Munitions how’s it looking for status on order #184137 from 1/23/24? Railed Tikka, Sendero, single color, lefty inlet.

    Vivo forest tracker esc durability

This has been my realization as well. The whole premise of my historic footwear choices has been fundamentally flawed, and my feet show the results (which are not positive). These boots as a daily wear are my goal in the next few years.

    RokStok

Reference @flyinsquirel ’s experience with the UM bolt handle and knob, has anyone else had interference between their UM ball knob and Rokstok? I figured the two would be compatible products. I am currently using the short handle + ball knob on my Tikka in a Bravo, and have considered...

    Boot review: On Cloudalpine

And that may likely be the case. I’m not super stoked about expensive stuff that has limited lifespan, but I need my boots to work well for me and my feet. Boots are so individual that personally, when I go shop for a new pair, I prioritize fit and features over plus-or-minus a hundred bucks...

    Boot review: On Cloudalpine

I don’t see the price as out of line with the rest of the market. Most boots that people are using for backcountry hunting fall somewhere in the $250-500 price range.

    Boot review: On Cloudalpine

I tried out a new boot this year and figure it’s a model that is likely not on people’s radar, but deserves a look if it fits your needs and desires: On Cloudalpine, $330. For context: I have worn Scarpa Charmoz and KUIU Scarpa mountaineering boots extensively over the past decade for alpine...

    Suppressor / thread adapter question

Ah. Good point. I would take Surefire’s word. Their 1/2x28 muzzle devices are designed primarily for .223/5.56 use so that makes sense. The thread adaptor type linked above is probably your best bet then. Just be damn sure everything is aligned correctly after final install.

    Suppressor / thread adapter question

What he needs is a Surefire SOCOM muzzle device in 1/2x28, which his 762 suppressor will still fit on. Not the best idea to stack the muzzle device onto a thread adaptor when they make a suitable muzzle device. For Surefire SOCOM suppressors, the 762 models can mount on their 5/8x24 or 1/2x28...
