I've done this, woobie over an enlightened equipment quilt. Cuts out any drafts to the quilt and was toasty warm below the rated temp of the quilt despite my tendency to be cold.
I'm not talking about the physical size of the magazine, I'm talking about room for a bevel or ramp of a magwell, specifically where the MSH is. The closest you might be able to get is a rounded butt magwell, but that's contradictory to the reason most people get a bobtail to being with.
How...
Assuming you're talking about a bobtail, they're mainly for creating a smoother radius to avoid printing when carrying concealed. They shouldn't impact grip assuming we're talking a full size gun, main downside would be less room for the rear of a magwell, which is more important on a single...
I'd vote P365 Macro, having mag commonality would be nice and the 17rd mags would be a good option to carry a reload. Holoson EPS carry, 6 MOA dot for the sight. Enclosed emitter so it's easier to clear off lint from carrying, easy battery changes that don't require removal of the optic, and...
Pretty sure DTACs are made by sierra. I wonder why Hornady isn't producing 109s given they have a nice little bump in BC over the 108s for a 1 gr weight increase.
I wouldn't mind having a rifle with 31 rounds on deck with which I can also put 5 shots a second into a USPSA a zone if things go poorly at close range.
He did start a thread dedicated with drills to get people practicing shooting from field positions, with their actual hunting gear, under time pressure.

Since we are in the trust tree here I will talk about my secret foot shame and something that's helped:
My feet would always feel clammy, even going barefoot in my house in the winter. It got to the point I'd get athlete's foot being barefoot most of the time. Apparently there's some condition...
I've had good results with crossed trekking poles under the front of the rifle and my pack as a rear rest, took a few seconds to get the elevation exact with proper grip and pulling the rifle back into my shoulder, but very stable once there.
I'll second that. The knowledge sharing is incredibly helpful and has improved my shooting ability and judgement on what shots I should and should not take. Please keep it up!
....and fishnet baselayers FTW too!
I'd echo what PNWGator said. I have a Tikka rebarreled to 6.5-284 in an Alterra Arms stock with a suppressor shooting 156gr Bergers. I wish I'd done a 6mm Creedmoor. The recoil isn't bad with the current setup, but it does make it difficult to spot shots when shooting from less than ideal field...
I've had them for a bit, used them once for real. Seated shot on an antelope at ~460 yds with my pack as a rear rest. I don't think I could've pulled off the shot without using the trekking poles + pack.
If you need something NOW, there may or may not have been a carefully shaped, heavy duty paper clip serving the same function in my Tikka for the past 2 years....
Not sure if you should be doing much dry fire with a rimfire gun, which is going to be a big detriment to getting better with a pistol.
I'm a big fan of what Ben Stoeger and Matt Pranka (X-Ray Alpha) are putting out for practical pistol and rifle shooting. Their focus may or may not jive with...
