    Every year, i say i will pursue bears more in the spring. But then mountain biking and whitewater get in the way. just love the adrenaline to much. Memorial day weekend, is usally a great whitewater weekend.

    ticks are definately out. I had 3 crawling on me wednesday and i was not hunting. but you just flick them off or pull them off, what ever the case might be. Personally i don't over think ticks.

    I was a river guide on the upper kenai in the early 90's. skilak or kenai lake is no joke when the winds come up. Cold air settles and it settles down the glacier and accross the lake. I have take some scary rides accross the lake, not for the faint of heart. i kissed the boat ramp one time.
