    Harvester Evo 300 input wanted

@TheHammer , I meant would it be okay to run on an 18” barrel for that cartridge. 300WM is listed for at least a 20” barrel. I’m looking at it from the viewpoint of “Yes, a DD Enticer or Scythe Ti is a better can, but a little more suppression and couple ounce weight savings would double the...

    Harvester Evo 300 input wanted

Think it would be fine on an 18” 6 PRC?

    Harvester Evo 300 input wanted

Looking to get into the suppressor game soon. I’m strongly considering the Harvester Evo 300 since I can get it for $400. Yes, I know it’s discontinued, and stated weight is with no muzzle device. Is there a real reason to spend $700 on something else?

    Scope window mount question/suggestion

I currently have the Vanguard Arca window mount, and it’s really nice. That being said, I’m actually going to switch to a Sirui ball head. A fluid/pan head is annoying if your vehicle isn’t level, as you then have to hold your head at an angle or constantly readjust the clamp.

    Is it all Leopolds

Have I had a Leupold fail? No, but I haven’t owned one. At the current rate, I’m not buying one either. Too many guys on here have reported failure for me to take a chance. Not sure how that qualifies as a cult, but whatever. I’d really really like for Leupold to be a solid option. I’d love to...

    Crockpot Shanks

Most of y’all have probably already known this for a long time. Found a very good use for deer shanks. In the past, they always went to the grinder for burger. They make an excellent roast in the crockpot. Put a shank in, add some beef broth and water, and toss in some potato chunks. Season...

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

@PNWGATOR, Thank you for starting this thread! It’s completely changed my mind on the effectiveness of the 223. Just wrapped up a Montana hunt with my Tikka 223. Really enjoyed using it. No recoil, not very loud, and just a joy to shoot. On top of that, very effective. Now I won’t hesitate to...

Trijicon Tenmile 3-18x44mm Field Eval Q&A

I bought low height rings. They didn’t have micro height back when I bought them. Micro would possibly work if using with a factory light barrel and small enough objective, but wouldn’t clear the Trijicon flip-up cap lip.

"Rokslide Classifieds" clogged and cluttered - consider separating?

I’d be for this. I understand it may make more work for the mods. Seems like if it’s in smaller chunks, then it would be easier to police. Maybe I’m wrong.

Trijicon Tenmile 3-18x44mm Field Eval Q&A

I have two Tenmile 3-18s. Currently on a hunt with one of them. Mounted in UM Tikka rings. Sighted it in before I left for the hunt. After the two flights, I confirmed zero, and it was still perfect. It has been bounced in the truck, hiked with, and used on a 353 & 440 yard shot. Dialing has...

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

I gotcha man. As I said, 3, maybe 4 inches too high. Barely missed the lungs. My DOPE was dead on, I think I just held a touch too high, as I was intending for mid-body. Besides that, it was perfect.
