Hey everyone,
FNG who's making hay while the sun's shining in NY, with hopes of eventually moving the family somewhere more conducive to my passions when my daughter's done with HS (I already uprooted her once for the job offer up here, so really can't justify doing that to her again...yet)
I...
@Formidilosus The benefits I see of the SRS rail over the UM rings 20 MOA and eye relief flexibility, which I can appreciate, but does adding a separate base increase the chance for zero retention issues? ie if neither of these two benefits apply to my setup, would you immediately recommend the...
Well now I feel dumb. Just yesterday I emailed UM saying they really ought to put the torque specs on each action's Rokstok page (apparently they're all the same torque, and the info was already on there!)
That is absolutely gorgeous! I have a soft spot for figured wood, the beauty of a woman's figure without any of the aggravation.
Want to do my two Ruger M77 mkii / Hawkeyes?...oh, left hand to boot. LOL
Waiting on Stocky's to get the molds based on all the feedback RS is giving them and...
@Formidilosus are you willing to tell us the make/model of the student's failed scope that this replaced? Good anecdotal evidence to back up the additional field evals.
Check out the thread started by Stocky's about what rifle inlets are missing stocks. A lot of guys are asking for Ruger M77 mkii / Hawkeye as an option. I've also inquired with Unknown Munitions and Jake got back to me saying they are planning on making a Rokstok at some point but can't give me...
I need two for my left hand Rugers. One for my Ruger M77 mk II long action LH and one for my Ruger Hawkeye short action LH. A vertical grip that isn't built for gorilla hands (I've got Ryan Avery esque hands) would be what I'm looking for.
Edit: Please and Thank You
+1 on this, in LEFT HAND. I have two Ruger M77s, one is MKii long action 270 Win and one is a hawkeye short action 7mm-08 and I desperately need proper stocks for them (both are currently wood stocks). If I had to pick one that I'd Rokstok instantly it would be the 7mm-08 Hawkeye as there's not...
@mntnguide Can you please expand on staying away from Swift Creek? Seems like a lot of Roksliders have positive things to say, was actually thinking of calling them in the next couple of weeks to get more info. Thanks in advance!
@Formidilosus is it fair to say that if you drop a scope onto the elevation turret, you would expect it to shoot low? Or is this impact shift correlation only for windage shifts from side drops? Seems obvious that it would hold true for elevation as well, but I can't say I'm familiar with the...
The more I think of the ramp idea, another solution for those of us who are not blessed with wiener dogs is a calf board. I have used one in physical therapy to stretch calves and do inclined squats on. Something like this.
