My Dall hunt in the brooks range was in mid August and I did not wear insulated boots. The night I spent on the mountain was cold, wet and windy but not so cold to be dangerous.

I was in RMNP last week and it was pretty easy to tell which mature does had dropped and which didnt. Seen a lot of deer and some had slim bellies and fat utters and others looked like a balloon around the middle. Never seen a single fawn and very few elk calves. But I am sure they were there...
If you don’t mind waiting a couple days my 2200 is tracking for Wednesday and I have the same tripod but with a promaster head.

Monday, June 19th. 73 days until Sheep season.
I hope all the Dads had a great Father’s Day. The last couple weeks have been busy with not much sheep hunt prep except going through gear, thinking about base camp setup and talking with family to get travel plans arranged. I also talked to...
I realize that my observations aren’t the true picture but in the last couple weeks I have been watching a lot of videos on desert and RM sheep hunts. Mainly just to look at horns and see how sheep react to peoples presence. On the videos done in Mexico there does seem to be a big variance in...
There is a video on the website showing how it connects. Open the crib under pack accessories and then scroll down. It does connect toward the bottom of the frame. I am going to like this lower attachment much better based on how I pack meat. 1. Deboned - Two TAG bone out bags which are tall...
Stupid question for anyone who isn’t color blind, but for the fusion pack is the stretch panel and webbing the same color as either the ranger or coyote? I would ask my wife but we know how that conversation will go.

I use the crib for training to securely hold a sandbag. Its not needed because you can easily secure the sandbag between the bag and frame but for me it is just less wear and tear on the bag. I have a Blackhawk water bladder holder that fits nicely on the K3 crib and then I add the lid to keep...
I don’t wear them all the time but I do like them in cold weather because I think they help wick the moisture away so my feet stay warmer in I insulated boots. Bridgedale Coolmax liners work very well.

One of the most memorable aspects of my dall hunt was sheep ribs done over an open fire. A couple 1 oz condiment packs of EVO and steak and chop seasoning. It was amazing.

Also agree. Don’t have time to research every unit for every species in every state that I apply for. I generally research my elk units but there are many tags I apply for and don’t research because my chances of drawing are so low that any time I spend outside of just dreaming is a waist of...
Would love to have the new rifle carrier by mid August. Headed to NV for sheep and hopefully first blood for the new K4.
