    Lets talk decoys!

Nick, I know you've probably seen plenty of propaganda regarding the SLIP System on the OTHER site...LOL. I've hunted in some of the worst country and conditions with these units over the last 3 years. One of the greatest advantages for lopes is the ability to switch to the Moo Cow...

Elk Mountain Slip System unbox review

Daniel, we do have Tundra Camo. Caribou is definitely on our list for future prints, as is a cow moose butt.

Best way to pack Mountain House meals?

I vacuum pack them down in individual bags...they compress pretty small, and you can trim the bags down. Then I just pack two empty MH bags to cook them in...you can re-use them over and over.

    Coolers for the ride home.

That's a great idea Z Barebow...even more effective and still takes up minimal space. Good advice on that disclaimer as well!

    10%

After hunting elk for quite a few years now, I believe that statistic. I think a small percentage of (experienced) hunters take the majority of the elk each Season. If you are not willing to put in the time, and endure several unsuccessful Seasons, archery elk hunting may not be for you. For...

    Coolers for the ride home.

We've been using the double sleeping bag method for many years...we pile the meat up in garbage bags on a double sleeping bag (the old heavy style large bags) and put dry ice on top, and wrap it up like a giant burrito. On a two day trip, the bottom quarters are mostly frozen by the time you...

    First week of Elk season.

I shot a cow one time at 7AM opening morning...like August 28th. She almost ran over me, at one point she was about 2 feet above me. I guess I just couldn't stand having a legal elk that close...so I plugged her! I did a lot of filming that Year and following my buddy around, it was nice not...

    Slip system decoy

colonel, We did think about it. We actually found that the black background was necessary to keep the decoys from being "transparent"...giving them maximum opacity. This being Rokslide, you guys know that everything is a game of ounces...the Slipcover material (88% polyester 12% lycra)...

    Slip system decoy

The decoys are highly effective, I think they are the most photo-realistic in the Industry, but I'm a little biased...I own the Company :D The decoy and camo covers change out in less than a minute (there are 22 Slipcovers available for the unit) Here's a video geared toward elk hunting that...
