+1 for the Ruger American. Mine is the Predator in 308. Has maintained an average of 0.7 MOA over 250+ 5 shot groups using 5 different powders and 3 different bullets.
Rsearch should only bring about facts. The facts dictate a threshold of X fps to expand bullet Y reliably. The energy is the product that ensures this. Most will say different numbers. Some as low as 1000 ft lbs at the desired distance as long as fps are still high. It is a balancing act that...
It took a whole 4 posts for a Tikka guy to show up. Must have taken Veterans day off...🤣
ETA: if I could get a Tikka with the same profile and repeatability as my predator I would probably buy it. I know they shoot great but as the OP stated, there is more fun in it when its cheap.

I've had 2 severe and one minor TBI from blasts and still shoot often and unsuppressed. That doesnt mean that it will be ok for you, time will tell, but in time it should be fine.
12.5k is a hell of a price to javenthat name on the side of the receiver. The sum is far more than the parts...far more.
Anyways, 900 yards is probably what their guys would shoot since they are super ethical on their hunts.
I am super interested in the caliber though. Off to do more research.
I have a lightly used F5 Switchblade in military green. Taken to the range a few times but I found something I liked better for it's role. Asking $155 shipped and insured.
