Kuiu kenai vs first lite uncompahgre?
I own both. They are similar but in our Raffle + Review on Insulated Jackets we rate the KUIU Kenai higher. Mainly because of how quiet and comfortable it is. Both are great pieces and I don't think u'll be disappointed with either. -

Stone Glacier Skyscraper or Kuiu Storm Star, what else?
Never had an issue with the ventilation on any of the 4 KUIU tents. Completely agree with the deeper tub. I have not. I use it to cover my gear or as a lightweight shelter- never slept on it. You are right in that its very slick, so I'd think you would slide for sure. -
