It's just a very fine mesh screen. When I'm in the field, I just give it a rinse, and good to go for next time. When I get home I'll run it through the dishwasher. Can't get much easier than that.
Buddy of mine works in a hospital and brings a box of finger cots to deer camp every year for everybody to use. I only use them when we have snow. POI seems to be unaffected.
I'll be hunting moose in Alberta, as well. I'll be near Peace River (Falher). Hoping to punch my tag with an open sighted Savage 99F in .308, pushing 150 TTSXs, if the terrain is suitable. If not, I'll go to a scoped Montana in
7-08 and 120 TTSXs. Been using TTSXs in multiple chambers for 20...
I'm going to buck the trend here. I've worn quality pak boots for decades. A few years ago, I switched to LaCross Alpha Burly Pro Zip 1000s. Wish I'd have done it years earlier.
Don't know if they make them in sizes small enough for your boy.
Apparently Peterson Cartridge Company has no interest in any market other than the guys shooting the latest fad chambers at a thousand yards.
For the rest of us,
" unfortunately, we have no plans", so go piss up a rope.
I'll look to Hornady, Starline, Lapua and others. Peterson can kiss my as s.
I would suggest buying both, a Pelican and a soft case. At home the Pelican is great protection in lieu of a safe, though not as secure. Plus you'll have it if you ever do a hunt that involves air travel. The soft case will work well for trips to the range and hunts where you'll be driving.
The road into camp has caught me at 11PM with downed trees and no saw in the past. Now my 028 Super is in the truck when I head to camp.
A battery saw sounds like its worth investigating....
Agree 100%, as evidenced by the top 3 blades in my post, #21. The offset handles are more comfortable and make for less effort when working on a flat surface.
Oh, no!!!! Man, I can already see this costing me money.
My 554 has been spectacular for the 5-6 years that I've owned it. Going to have to watch for the reviews over the next year or so, and see if I can get my hands on one to critique for myself. The addition of the TE11WZ should be huge...
Nope.
I never want to be that guy who says, "Man, I wish I still had that one."
I did give away an old 12ga once though...to a buddy on my bowling team about 40 years ago. He wanted something for home protection.
I compared my TSN-554 to my buddy's STC. The STC has the better FOV, but that's about it. Thats a non issue for me, since I scan with my binos and pull the spotter only for a better look. We both agreed the Kowa has better image quality. And the Kowa focus is far superior to the Swaro barrel...
