What’s the best wild game meat?

I guess I would try seal, like you describe, if I had a chance. But I know I will not be trying any more seal oil on my raw caribou liver! Ever!

    Let's see some traditional harvests!

18 yard shot. Down in 20 seconds (on video). Clipped near side rib and poked through the off side rib. Used a Grizzly 300 grain single edge broadhead with steel adapters and brass inserts. Guess that doesn't really qualify for a real pass through ..........

    Photography- one photo a day

This photo is not technically very good. I didn't have a suitable camera. It will not evoke much from most viewers, but it does for me. I got to view a wild snow leopard while bow hunting ibex in the Gobi of Mongolia. This photo is priceless to me because of what it evokes. My outfitter...

    Archery Brown Bear Outfitters

I second Jonah. Even baited, doing it with a bow is not a gimmie. Jonah knows how and has been successful with lots of bowhunters (that listen to his advice). I took one with him using a recurve in 2014. If you want to do it non-baited, success with a bow over salmon streams in the fall...

    Tarptent

As mentioned, Tarptent has a wide variety of tents for different uses. Backpacking the Brooks Range? Look at the Scarp 1 or 2 with the extra support poles. I bought one for the MacKensie Mtns in the NWT. Yes, the guide had a Helleberg. He planned to use it professionally for many years...

    Quiet Clothing for Moose Hunting

I would disagree that quiet clothing is not needed. If bowhunting, quiet clothing could be necessary for stalking close or even just drawing a bow at close range. Moose have excellent hearing

    Lets see your first bull

First bull elk 1980 AD. Not a field photo because I didn't carry a camera in the field back then. But, yeah, they did have cameras all those years ago.

Back Country Places you want to Experience

Wilmore Provincial Park in Alberta. I want to see it because I had a moose bow hunt postponed last September and I am holding my breath waiting to see if Canada opens the border in time for this September! That, and I have heard it is really beautiful.

    Some great camouflage

He got up and walked over the skyline. If I have have any regrets about the encounter, it is I did not have better equipment for photos.

    Some great camouflage

I actually was able to video and photograph a snow leopard in Mongolia whiling bow hunting gobi ibex. It was sleeping in rocks on a steep mountainside. You can hardly make it out in the video until it rolls onto it's back, then the white belly makes it pop into view. Poor quality since I was...

He did have a big body, but I think the heart photo makes it appear bigger.
