I'm afraid the ship has sailed on the custom ammo experiment for the OP. Shoot it, don't shoot it, whatever. Chalk it up to a learning experience and move on.
When it comes to your LR hunting ammo, remember what Thanos said -
I think no matter what happens you'll be out of luck - sounds like not enough parameters were set at the start of this process.
I'd shoot at range and see what it does ( a PITA, but I think necessary to prove your dissatisfaction).
Load some using the provided recipe and see if your rounds do...
What is the difference in your LOP? Even an inch can change the scope picture for you or her.
I would get her a dedicated rifle that fits and she is comfortable shooting. I've played the game of rifles for my wife and you can do more damage than good forcing her into something that doesn't...
I have avoided them - just because I'm resistant to change. Core Lokt has always been my fallback ammo as it just seems to work.
All things being the same, it should be a good improvement. I would shoot it out though, most advertised BC numbers are optimistic.
Just load until you can't accurately handle it - ballistics be damned. I'd rather be on target with all my shots if necessary.

Also, I'd carry spray and a pistol. Not two pistols. The best...
If you go factory just get a 30-06 since you don't reload. Better yet, see what is in stock at the local and let that be your guide. Despite what we nit-pick about around here, it's not rocket surgery to get a solid factory rifle and go forth...
1700.00 is a bit steep for a rebarrel - you could...
Just find a safe middle of the road charge.
I have not found that seating depth knocked me out of a powder node. I usually do powder first then seating depth. I also wondered about it changing, but after experimenting I have yet to see it.
45 isn't too bad right now.
My best gun-show was 8lbs of IMR4895 @37.50 several months ago.
I'm luck enough to be set on components right now. Just buy bargains as I see them.
Sure is.
I've switched over to it and had good luck so far. If nothing else it takes reading the chicken bones of a target out of the mix for me. I don't look at target until i do seating depth.
I'll add some more...
What you are looking for needs to be done at farther yardages.
At 100 yards I've seen a horizontal line drawn and targets dots place along it. Fire one round at each dot and look for the rounds that rounds that are above/below the line on the same plane.
Hard to explain...
I couldn't really answer that question as I did not consider the 5-25.
Would 5x more have made any difference? Probably not.
For that matter, the weight probably wouldn't either. Once you get into that realm of scopes - they are all pigs.
I loved that scope, but I tripped it already.
This is a great philosophy!
Last year I started focusing on slowing down and having a purpose with my shooting. A routine with each shot.
You can't miss fast enough.
