I have a Vanguard S2 in 30-06. It's not fancy but it shoots well and I've killed lots of animals ranging from pronghorn to moose. For the money, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. I don't have any experience with the other rifles on your list.
I have one in XM length that, like @Decker9, will be a 6.5 prc. My Bartlein CF barrel arrived last week so I'll get it to the smith soon. Being my intent is for a lightweight hunting rifle I went with the aluminum Defiance XM bdl bottom metal. I've read it's made by Sunny Hill but can't confirm...
I was thinking of injecting the brisket with beef broth and butter (or olive oil) and letting it sit overnight. Place the brisket in a pan of broth (as @Turkeygetpwnd38 suggested) and covering the pan after some time in the smoke.

Those are some nice moose. I too have a ND any moose tag. I'll be heading out on the 5th trying to fill my tag with a bow. Shoot me a pm and I'll share what unit I'm hunting. Maybe we can swap intel if in the same unit.

I have a handful of Geissele triggers and they are all fantastic. Little to no creep, breaks like glass. That being said, the Larue MBT's that I have are damn good for the money and have been my go to AR triggers the last couple years.
My thoughts have always been that if conditions are such that require a 0F bag, any rain that falls will be in the form of snow. Then the more pertinent question becomes whether my shelter can handle a snow load.
It pays to shop around. I sold a larger item recently and went to the UPS Store to ship and the price was astronomical. I then went to USPS and Priority shipping was approximately 1/3 the price of UPS. The item arrived on time and in great shape.
I've since gone to using shipping rate...
While I have never used a Metcalf, I own or have owned a DT2, Reckoning and Woodsman. When I received my 44 Mag I was surprised at how large it seemed. I think the many organization pockets help it carry more than I anticipated it would. I think 3-4 days is very doable with the 44 Mag provided...
Yes, Aron did mention an internal frame being used on specific pack he was using in the Instagram video. I'm keeping my fingers crossed there will be a bag for the external frames.
