    Which .338

He does not want a Lapua bolt face cartridge. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Case capacity rules when all out performance is the concern.

    Which .338

After ruling out a Lapua you’ve really narrowed it down to the Edge or RUM. I would go Edge. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    Zeiss V4 6-24x50 MOA review

Sorry, yes. It is actually a little thicker than I would prefer but not too thick for hunting.

    Zeiss V4 6-24x50 MOA review

I can not remember the last time I used a plex reticle so I am no help there.

    Zeiss V4 6-24x50 MOA review

I did not directly compare the low light performance of this scope with others in its price range but from recollection it has some of the better glass in it's price range. Not being an illuminated reticle model I would say the reticle itself is no different than others when directly speaking to...

Gunsmith Debacle- what would you do?

I am not sure what could ring up a 1100 machining bill. I personally would want the same thing I sent him. The pre 64 mdl 70 does not really need to have sentimental value to make it better than what is available today. The closest thing to it would be a mdl 70 "Classic".

    Battle of the 30s

Barely more capacity than ADG 30 Nosler brass and needs a Lapua bolt face. It MAY not feed as nice but does have Lapua brass. My current stance is I would rather not have the Lapua bolt face and all the negatives for the very little gain.

    Battle of the 30s

You can typically count on 20-25 FPS per inch. The suppressor would give a little back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    Battle of the 30s

The PRC was a 9, the Noser a 9.5, the win mag a 10. No, I don't think the 9 twist had anything to do with how picky is was. The desire for faster twist is out of necessity to shoot larger bullets. My smith told me Proofs are often very finicky. I have only had two. The other was my 6.5 PRC and...

Hunt "The Best General Units in Wyoming" Every Year

We have a lot of contract jobs in my line of work. For those who are contracting it would be impossible to claim residency in any state if they all followed WY. I am not a lawyer but I guess I see domiciled as the true definition not how one state decides to bend it. If I only have one house and...

    NightForce VS Huskemaw Scope

The glass in both is very comparable. The turrets and zero stop are better implemented on the Nightforce. I prefer 1/4 moa vs 1/3. I would recommend calling if you are seriously considering the Huskemaw because not all the scopes have the same travel per click. It looks like the website has been...

    Wyoming preference points.

While there are several great resources I think Gohunt is probably the best single tool for making a plan, both short and longterm. It will help sort based on YOUR situation not what others tell you.

    Battle of the 30s

I do not feel it would be any different at all. I have chambered two of the same brand of barrel with the same reamer before and got different results. My experiences are outlined in the article. There will be fast barrels and there will be slow barrels. Some do not want to admit it when their...

    Hunting with expensive rifles

It is character. If it really bothers you they can be refinished. I put a scope coat on my optics and that is it.

    Kuiu guide or attack

I personally don't think the guides are "too much" for a november hunt but I hate the fit. I much prefer the Talus, Attack, or pro for a mid to late season hunt. Yes, I have or have had all of them. I also love the Kutana but it would need layering for sure as it is really a lighter pant.
