I loved mine with the fan, but the fan did break after a couple years and I’ve never felt need to replace it. I used mine as more of a heater for work spaces to break the chill. I don’t spend much time in cold conditions anymore.
I am a member of CDA, they have a great banquet. They do quite a bit of conservation work related to habitat. They are big with fuel management in California, which in turn benefits deer. As with many conservation groups, CDA has been slowed down a bit due to Covid restrictions in the state...
I would be much happier if conservation orgs supported or opposed “policy”, not people or politicians. This lady is a straight up political appointee, many in the Biden admin are anti gun and anti hunting. I don’t see them as ever nominating someone who doesn’t have the same “left” leaning...
I’m biased towards the Princeton Tec headlamps because I wear at work. They have to work for an 8+ hour shift and are as simple and indestructible as they come. The American made Princeton Tec lights I wear have outlasted dozens of the fancy imports some of the guys I know keep buying. I like...
I spend a lot of time in 100° + temps.
The Gulch Gear lines of clothing with the Toray® Dot-Air 2-way stretch fabric are second to none. I have all the Kuiu Tiburon stuff too, same fabric, but I’d rather buy a product that is at leas sewn in USA 🇺🇸
The fit and quality of the Gulch Gear stuff...
I was in need of a new pair of knee pads for general construction work. My local Home Depot has a bunch of overpriced chinese made junk with fancy brand names. Since I don’t want made in china or to advertise with the brand name and logo for a company outsourcing American jobs, I turned to a...
I would go with a Really Right Stuff Ascend 14 with the ascend head and a polymer clinch.

Unless you are doing video, I see no reason you need a pan or tilt head. A ball head will point your optic at what you want to see. You can definitely glass with the RRS anvil head. I love it with my EL12x50s.
The only advantage I see with pan/tilt “fluid” heads is the ability to adjust or...
I have found that glassing with the higher end glass, I can use the whole field of view (edge to edge clarity). The anvil head took some time to get used to, but now I don’t miss a pan head at all. I do have an Outdoorsman panner that I tried for a while on the Anvil, but decided I don’t need...
The previous occupant of the house apparently raised pitbulls or husky dogs and probably cooked meth. The perimeter of the property (fenced with chain link) had used tires lining the fence line to keep the dogs from digging out. The guy was a tow truck driver...
I just bought a house and some land with over 500 used tires littering the place LOL. I am paying to get rid of them and I can’t legally transport more than (9) at a time ha ha
I’ll tell my wife we are about to be rich...
I’ve been running Coopers for years doing heavy towing and desert off-roading. With my new truck, I went with a larger tire size and am not getting the same wear. Still a good tire, but I might change brand on next set when I go from 35” to 37”.
the radial brakes that come with Christensen rifles are excellent recoil reducers. My 30 Nosler is lighter than my M70 in 308 Win, the 30 NOS is way better on my shoulder too.
it’s too bad they didn’t update the product description before your purchase.
Politics and health are intertwined with hunting and the outdoors. I’ve been really happy with the balance here on Rokslide. I don’t read every thread and I know a lot of my posts aren’t read or interacted with. No big deal...
It’s a private site and the owners and mods are going to do what...
