    Tarps in heavy rain

That 2nd one looks interesting. It looks like it may be a little tight for my son and I. I do not think my tarp has that many tie outs on the perimeter

    Tarps in heavy rain

I was out last week and used my tarp. I am a new tarp user with under 10 nights in a tarp. Last week was my first time using it in heavy rain. It did not work as well as I had hoped. I have a silnylon 9' square tarp. I usually set up in an A frame configuration and use trekking poles. The...

    Monticello Utah

I love the area. Tons of stuff to do close by and last time I checked real estate was not crazy. It is at high elevation compared to Moab so the summers are mild and the winters colder. It is a small town and there doesn’t seem to be too much going on.

    First time marathon

Figure out your goal pace and a good training pace. This will be a pace you can sustain for a long time without a high heart rate. I use a Garmin, I find a running partner that has the same training pace. We run together and can talk the entire way. It is much easier running 16-20 miles...

    First time marathon

Make sure you track your mileage on your shoes so you know when to replace. Have a foam roller and a lacrosse ball for the legs and bottom of the feet. It is possible to gain weight while running 40 miles a week so be mindful of your calorie intake.

    Thermometer

I wear a Garmin Fenix 5 plus, I then purchased a Garmin Tempe sensor. I think it was around 30 bucks or so. I clip it on my bag when hunting. It pairs with my watch. Overnight I leave it outside the tent. It shows the current temp and the 24hr high and low temp. This is useful when...

Does a cot help side sleepers

I use the Camp Time Roll A Cot when I am near my vehicle. I am a side sleeper and sleep great on it. I add a Thermarest scout into the cot for insulation.

    San Antonio 3D archery range?

Lone Star Handgun on the East side of town has a big archery range. I have only shot my firearms there though. I normally just shoot the 20 yard at Mesquite archery. Welcome to town
