Maybe guys just work stuff too hard around here. Everybody runs atleast a 30 on 70cc saws and everybody I know that ran a 562 settled on a 28. The problems I have heard are crank bearings/seals especially on the 562.
Problems that they rarely have with the 372 or 462.
From what I understand the 372 has been discontinued.....Still some out there though.
THe clones can be fun if you look at them like a 300 dollar saw that you WILL have to mess with a little. I know a tree faller that uses them, because he has fun with them. His boss tells me that they are a...
The guys that I know that have used the 572 have all used them up and then sourced NOS 372s.....
Really have not heard anything good about the big 5 series saws.
Have seen a couple 372s on amazon in the last few months (husky store)
Have been trying to buy any lightly used 372s I can find. Just...
In theory, that bullet will be at its very best at that range. We used that same round early on, at a bait site, and honestly was pretty dissapointed with the results. Had much faster kills with 130 grn partitions or interlocks. Neither were nice on hide at that distance though. Atleast 2 inch...
Burned right at 7 cord.....so far. Had almost all larch and fir this year, so would have been far more burning pine, lodgepole, and spruce, with some fir mixed in like most years. Had over 25 cord split in piles, and our 8 cord that we store in a shed. Sold and gave away all but 2 or 3 cord of...
If I know it is a good hit, no problems going after them in the dark. Questionable hit in a thick area, come back in the light.
Made the mistake of going after one in the dark that I didnt know where it was hit, but found good blood and followed for a ways. Very thick brushy area, blood all...
In my experience, replacement parts (OEM or otherwise) rarely last as long as the parts that they were assembled with from the factory. This has been especially true with timing belt components. Changes in suppliers of parts, or components of those parts happens all the time.
I have seen...
Truck had 260 on original belt. He had owned the truck since 90k. didnt remember original owner saying anything about having the belt done. Was toyota parts, and maybe it did have the belt done before that?
Have seen subarus make it to the 160 to 180k mark, but that tundra was pretty...
04 tundra, used very hard. Seeing the way that this pickup got used, and also the other one that he uses, Changed my opinion of the that generation of tundra. They are pretty bomb proof.
What has your experience been on bears with these, ever get enough exit for tracking blood? 77tmk?
Debating on using the 6.5c with the 143s or the 223 77tmk combo for my daughter this spring. Shots will be within 400 yds.
I have seen one of these belts fail, and it was the belt and not a component (pulleys, tensioner,) at 260k.
Unfortunately, it bent valves/ broke one off and broke that piston.
In my experience, no. A quick google search would find the common consumption issue with these engines, and then asking the seller, would be really the only way. Or a tail pipe emissions test maybe would, but have no experiece with that.
Sometimes oilburners will have deposits on plugs or on...
compression test on this would likely show nothing out of the ordinary. Typically this is caused by oil control rings issues. might be stuck, or oil just not draining back through them and the piston. Compressing rings are probably still sealing well. I have seen several of these that didn't use...
