Hey, that's probably what all the politicians in Virginia, I mean DC think. That's cool with me. Maybe we should just cut out part of the state and disown the toothless relatives, could we call it West Wyoming? (all in fun amigo. just messing around)
Wyoming taxes are .61%. Colorado property taxes are .51%
The property cost and taxable value in Wyoming are lower. According to Wallethub (first thing I found on Google) Wyoming average home value is around $220k, and Colorado is about $345k.
The median home value for Colorado's Front Range...
Outside of Cheyenne. I still work in Ft. Collins, and am willing to add a bit of time to my commute to give the kids a better childhood. The place we bought would have been almost double the price on the CO side of the border.
Edit to add a reply to Desk Jockey: I've been in CO for over 25...
I’m doing it next month. Tired of three or four cities ruining this beautiful state. Sucks to have to learn a whole new state to hunt, but what the hell, can’t succeed if you don’t try.
I can finally buy a magazine for my Glock 17.
I don't have a pic of the mount handy, but this was my biggest deer of my first deer hunting trip. Kodiak Island, 1993. My uncle mounted him for me.
I was in high school, went with a friend of my stepdad, did most of the hunting solo. Learned a ton, packed him out with the friend's 15 year old...
I agree, the bald head makes them look bigger, and my "fisherman's pose" probably doesn't help. I think the thing that hurt him was how cupped his paddles were forward. If they laid out flat, he would have gained a lot
He barely beat 51" wide. I was pretty surprised when I measured, but am really glad he had the brow tines to be legal either way. We passed on a couple of smaller bulls in the trip, and I'm super glad we did! I don't think I would have shot this guy without the brow tines.
If you notice in the...
I spent all last year asking people posting moose pictures what the spread was. I watched every film and read every story I could get my hands on. When I shot my moose I guessed him at 55", but knew he was good to go when I counted brow tines.
I read somewhere that the paddles going straight...
I'm a Gen x-er, but you should probably add me to that list. I was born and raised in AK, and much prefer a pistol over a rifle when I'm fishing or packing meat. I don't carry a pistol with my rifle, but like having a firearm with me in bear country.
To the OP, I'd rather shoot a caribou...
I bought 8 pounds of it for $310 plus tax last week at the local gun shop. I know the manager and spend lots of money there. He called me when it came in. Short of building relationships like that, watch ammo seek and set alerts with the big reloading online shops. Don’t feed the gougers
I flew last year with AK Air. Their policy is one set of antlers per flight, first come, first served. Others may or may not make it depending on space. We got there 2 hours before they opened. We were first. No biggie. We heard griping from about a dozen other guys though.
I have the MOAR-T. Mine is a SFP, so I like that the target reticle is still a reasonable size when I zoom in on tiny targets. It is illuminated so the fine lines are easy to see in dim lighting.
