Getting back into bowhunting. Got a good deal on a V3x. Setup questions/suggestions.

I'm going to give the hamskea a go. I'll try to shoot it indoors a lot this winter and see what I think of it.

Thinking of having my bow shop get me a hamskea hybrid hunter pro micro...the epsilon and trinity are just a little more than I want to spend. Any draw backs to that rest?

Yeah I think the Fast Eddie inline will be cool.....just not sure I need to spend $289 on a inline rest....and I think it's basically the same as my hdx ultra....besides the mounting obviously. Or has qad improved things in recent years?

Ok so watching some videos on s&s archery...I'm seeing where a hamskea limb driven has less to go wrong..

Been curious about the hamskea....what's the big difference between limb driven and cable driven...obviously other than how they're driven....?

Put my name on a V3x 33 today. Few hundred off new...haven't bought a bow since 2014...figured it was time. I have a Fast Eddie xl I plan to use. Wondering about the rest, I have a QAD HDX Ultra rest off my old bow. It's not the fancy Matthews integrate mount, but I think it's still an ok...

Maven rs2 vs huron vs optika5

Not sure the eye relief on the Huron....but the eye relief was a little short on the rs2 if I remember right. Was nice glass though. Pawned it off on my brother in law. He loves it on his 243. On a light kicker it's a non issue.

    Weight reduction for wife's rifle?

That's why I'm thinking ditch the pad. I have seen they're around 6oz. If that's the case this would be a pretty light stock. Lighter than most, I wanna say a privateer is around 24oz.

    Weight reduction for wife's rifle?

    Weight reduction for wife's rifle?

Yes. I was thinking about that. Could shorten it a 1/2" with a different pad. My wife is 5'8" so she's not super tiny. I think 13" lop would probably be fine..I'll have to check that out more. Shorter lop could work for the kids when they get a little older too.

    Weight reduction for wife's rifle?

We recently decided to sell her Kimber Montana. She didn't seem to shoot that light of a rifle very well and I really think it messed with her confidence. I have a Walmart special adl that I bought years ago to shoot coyotes with. It has a Bell and Carlson stock and aluminum trigger guard, and...
